“Great place!”
Very nice stay here- super convenient location and very friendly staff
“Worth every penny!”
Really quite an excellent hotel. From the moment you check in (with welcome champagne!) through your checkout, the staff is always trying to please. The bar downstairs is excellent, but I was not all that impressed with the kitchen at Clink (did not get a chance to try their other restaurant). However, they have some really delicious coffee! Overall, a really fantastic experience (that you're definitely going to be paying for - not cheap!).
“Unique hotel in Boston”
Check this one out. It's different from a chain and worth a look.
“Beautiful hotel- amazing ambiance!”
The Liberty Hotel is an old jail that is now a hotel, with bars and restaurants that all keep with the jail theme. The staff was very nice and offered champagne upon our arrival - always a plus! I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Boston that also offers a great social scene in the evening too.
“Great rooms on top of a scene”
Top quality rooms. Be prepared for a lobby that is a hot bar scene at night. No impact on the rooms -- quiet and comfortable.
“horrific service, CLINK was pretentious and unwelcoming”
Overall building and design really great. Location is fabulous...love Charles St. We checked into 2 rooms and told our rooms were ready. We were told to come back for our welcome Champagne, spo went to our rooms. One was clean the other had an unmade bed. Called the front desk. Told someone would come right away. 5 hours later and a second call the room was made up. They delivered a glass of welcome champagne to our room and offered breakfast certificates. We went to the CLINK service was horrible, hostess and servers were very pretentious, but unpolished and not welcoming. No one in bar area, waited over an hour for service...it was unexceptable. We have traveled all over the world and for such a highly rated hotel you would expect better service. Environment is very cool, but the rooms are basic. My overall disappointment was such poor service. I would never spend a dime to go back. It was a special ocassion and I feel that we wasted our money. There are better 4-5 star hotels in Boston that have much better service...
“Great night in the slammer”
nothing bad to say about this place. great spot great food. check it out.
“Hip Boston but you need the right room!”
The transformation of this builidng from a jail to a hotel is simply incredible. The facade is beautiful and the interior is very hip and cool. The rooms are well appointed but our first rack rate room was a bit claustrophobic with no view and we could hear construction roaring from from 6:45 am on! The hotel was sold out so they could not move us until our 2nd night -- what a difference a day makes! The second room was huge, bright with several windows and a gorgeous view of the city and the Charles River. Luxe Molton Brown products in the bathroom. The restaurant Scampo was happening and outstanding. The River, the Boston Commons and Beacon Hill are steps away. Will definitely go back for a modern view of Boston.
“Fabulous, can't wait to go back.”
The staff is so friendly and helpful. The restaurants are great and the rooms have snacks, wine soda, you name it. The bathrooms were amacculate with a lighted makeup mirror. A must go if you can a neat place with a cool history.
“Caravanserai”
Very striking venue and exceptionally good service
