Do not recommend for the business traveler. Had a business meeting cancel same day. Hotel refused to provide any credit against room charge. Had stayed at hotel before and will no longer due so. Management ignored call to resolve.

Pros: Its closeness to everything, pleasant and helpful staff.
Cons: Nothing.
Location: Our soon was moving down to attend school and we wanted to be close to everything and in a central location - and we were!
Terrific location - close to everything. The pool was a nice surprise as I didn't realize there was one.

Pros: Close to the action. Not too big
Cons: Signage pointing to the elevator. We got lost several times.
Location: You are surrounded by everything and so close to great restaurants and shopping.
Check in was smooth. You can get lost trying to find the elevator

Pros: Optimal location
Cons: The rooms are dingy and the whole place needs to be updated. The headboards jiggle.
I made my reservation for two nights for one king size bed. When I arrived to Midtown and checked into the room it was a room with two queen beds. When I tried to bring this up to the front desk it was stated that reservations were a 'request' and not a guarantee and the front desk employee stated that both 1 king and 2 queen bed rooms are the same price. Shortly after arriving to my two queen bed room I took a shower in a shower that did not drain properly. This was brought up to the front desk and quickly resolved by two friendly maintenance guys. During our second day at Midtown upon return to our room in the evening a note was left on the bed that we were able to pack our things to be moved into a king size bed...we did not get this note until 7pm, a phone call would have been nice so arrangements could have been made to appease my reservation 'request'. In addition, our room was left without towels.

Cons: AC
Location: Everything. It's close to a T station
It's close to the prudential center and symphony hall and T station. Parking (although) expensive was good to have. AC was very loud Staff polite.

Midtown Hotel

Pros: It is less than 20 minute walk from Fenway stadium and other Boston attractions.
Cons: Entire hotel is overdue for a complete makeover.
The midtown hotel turned out to be disappointing in a number of ways. Staff were not especially friendly, the wifi signal was weak and intermittent, the room smelled less than fresh. The room carpet had seen better days, the bathroom was tiny and there was vibration in the floor that could be felt in the bed. The vibration interfered with sleep until it finally stopped during the night. We gave up waiting for the elevator. The room price was double what a better room might cost elsewhere in a smaller centre. No restaurant in hotel. No breakfast included. Not recommended.
