Decent Low Cost Option for Central Boston

Posted Jul 20, 2015
Pros: Service, location and cost.
Cons: The rooms need a refresh
Location: Berkely Music School and Boston Symphony Hall are close by. Fenway and House of Blues are less than a 20 minute walk. Food option are plenty.
The price and the service were the best part of the stay. The rooms were tight and needed some updating. We had an issue with the TV service and the air conditioner was either all or nothing, so the room was cool. The bathroom was small, but quite clean.

Rooms were clean and well taken care of. The Midtown is very convenient to a number of places we were visiting. But the building is bit "tired". The staff was available and helpful.

Close to the T

Posted Jul 16, 2015
Pros: Location and cleanliness as well as professional and helpful staff.
Cons: A microwave and a small fridge in the room would be an improvement. Higher end bathroom amenities.
Location: We enjoyed a concert at the Garden and we took the T to Haymarket Square and enjoyed Fanueill Hall and Quincy market and surroundings.
We stayed at the Midtown Hotel 7/14-7/15 to attend a concert at TD Garden (U2!). Very convenient access to the Subway T Green Line. Did not have to pay for parking as we attended an event! We also spent the next afternoon [after checkout] to take the T to Haymarket Square and they did not charge additional parking to leave our car at the hotel! Staff was very accommodating and polite. The room was very clean. We did not have time to enjoy the outdoor pool. Not much in the way of amenities, but met our needs just fine.

Un très bon hotel

Posted Jul 5, 2015
Pros: Sa situation géographique dans Boston.
Location: Il faut entre autres aller au Musée des beaux-arts de Boston qui est à 10 minutes à pied.
Très bien placé. Un look retro très intéressant. Pas trop cher.

Pros: friendly staff, good location, affordable
Cons: soap smelled nasty; cleaner bathroom
Location: central location, close to Newbury St shops and Mapparium
Good service and affordable price. Although a bit noisy at night, no breakfast included and parking fee was expensive ($29 per night), staff are helpful and friendly and the location is good. You get what you pay for.

Economical

Good place to stay when travelling. Nothing fancy but has mainenities needed. Some staff were helpful some were not, don't let that bother you, just talk to the more helpful ones. Had a parking and pool.

Clean and comfortable, and budget-friendly

Posted Jun 22, 2015
Pros: Clean and comfortable room, friendly staff
Cons: Noise levels
Location: Very close to many shops and restaurants, and right on the T green line, so it's very easy to get around.
Our room at the Midtown Hotel was clean and comfortable. It wasn't fancy, but the room was spacious and the staff were very friendly. The light stopped working in our bathroom during our stay and they sent someone up to fix it right away. The one issue we had was that the walls/doors seem to be very thin, so if someone is making noise in the hallway, you'll probably hear it. All in all, it was a nice, inexpensive hotel for a stay in Boston.

Beautiful location

Posted Jun 21, 2015
Pros: Location. Comfort.
Location: It's easy to get anywhere in Boston from this location.
Next to the reflecting pool at the Christian Science Center. Easy walk downtown or to get the T, if a subway is easier. Rooms were very comfortable, just slightly noisy from outside traffic.

Pros: Close to downtown Boston
Cons: Hotel needs a general renovation.
1) The ventilator / air-condition was terribly loud, so all of us could not or only short-time sleep all night long: We switched it out and it was too warm. We turned it on and it was too noisy. 2) The reception-staff was only of moderate kindness when we checked in.

Stayed at the Midtown Hotel for a conference.

Posted Jun 16, 2015
Pros: Staff very helpful and accommodating. Close to many things and also had a pool
Cons: Room issues at time but staff very helpful.
Location: close to our conference at the Copley and close to dining and shopping.
The Midtown was in close proximity to a conference we were attending. Some issues with our rooms but Hotel staff very helpful and accommodating which was much appreciated. The Midtown has a pool and is in walking distance to shopping and restaurants. Would stay again
