Good value in the heart of the city

Posted Nov 21, 2014
Pros: Cleanliness
Cons: Bathroom
Location: Great location near T stops and Prudential building.
Great location, room was very clean :) Bathroom was an odd layout with a noisy fan. We had a room on the street side of the building so we had some traffic noise but not too bad. Paid $119 for a king room so it was a good value for that part of town.

Excellent Location

Posted Nov 4, 2014
Pros: The rooms were very large and beds very comfortable.
Cons: Room Soundproofing and general decor. Needs improvement to come up to Century standards.
Location: Close proximity to 2 shopping centres and the T-Train. Easy to walk to most of Boston from here.
We stayed in this hotel for 2 weeks and the room was very large and the beds were extremely comfortable. However, the walls are very thin and you can hears doors shutting all over the hotel and people talking in adjacent rooms. There are no catering facilities at this hotel which is a shame because it would add tremendous value to the stay if it did. That said, the hotel was withing 1 minute of the Prudential Centre and Copley Place (Shopping) and Prudential (T train), which gets you all over the Boston area. It is possible to walk to all attraction from this hotel if you desire (max time is about 30 mins to Long Pier/Quincy Market.

I'm going back!

Posted Nov 2, 2014
Pros: The view we had was great, we were right on the street yet we both commented on how quiet it was, location perfect for us.
Cons: There is always room for improvement on anything, but wouldn't want to change anything and increase price.
Location: View of Church and water fountain, Prudential & Hynes near & in view , Museum of Fine Arts, Shopping, interesting restaurants, Symphony Hall, MTA stop
Hesitant because it was so reasonably priced. I've stayed in some pretty nice places with the marble bathrooms, chocolates on the pillows, etc..........for four times the price. This hotel may have the drop in bathtub cover, but it's clean. Like the set up that the sink is outside the door of the toilet and tub. Very spacious room. Hotel desk person was exceptionally gracious, gave us free parking (since we had handicap sticker) and internet code. May have been good deal on expedia because it was a Monday night, but for the location and amenities, WOW.

Checked after seeing the room.

Pros: Location
Cons: It could be torn down and replaced with some great buildings. It's a long 2 story motel type building sitting on prime real estate.
Location: Close to shopping
Room was just 5 feet away from elevator door with pretty shady characters roaming the hall. Ended up in a very nice hotel for a few dollars more.

Family weekend at college

Posted Nov 2, 2014
The midtown was a great location for visiting my daughter at her college and for seeing Boston. The hotel was comfortable but could use updates in the rooms and shared areas to bring it current with the other hotels surrounding it. The hotel is priced well and if you only need a comfortable place to sleep, is a good choice.

Friendly, helpful, convenient and comfortable

Posted Oct 26, 2014
Pros: Service and location. Price value.
Cons: Fresh coffee available in foyer.
Location: We walked 5 mins to Symphony Hall for a BSO concert. Green and Orange line stations close and also bus to Harvard square. Prudential Center close
While this doesn't pretend to be your top glitzy facility, it is not in any way run down. There is an excellent culture of service at all levels which made it a pleasure to stay there for 5 night overall. Location is very good for the T lines and busses. There is no food service but we got around that easily with a good range of options within a short walk. They maintain a limo service to the airport which charges a very good flat rate. You'll need to ask for a frig to your room if that is needed.

Location was good if you'd like to be near the city but the hotel is old and has no A/C!
