Clean no-frills hotelPosted Mar 3, 2014
Clean, no-frills hotel centrally located to downtown. Room and bathroom were clean although you could hear the tv and people taking in their rooms on either side of ours.

The Midtown Hotel wonderful locationPosted Feb 9, 2014
The Midtown is very nicely located with parking on site. It is a great base for site seeing Boston. My room was a disappointing. The heater fan was crazy loud and in order to sleep I had to turn it off so the room was very cold. The bathroom light fan was even louder. The bathroom is cruise ship small. The carpet was a little worn, so it matched the furniture. The color scheme is green carpets and rust bed spreads. I arrived late in the day and had an evening event so I didn't have time to ask for a better room. I had asked for a room with 2 beds but was given 1 king but my companion canceled at the last minute so I didn't make a fuss The room was clean. The hotel is solid so you don't hear banging doors, elevators and people in the halls. If the fans were quiet I would give the hotel a C+. Would I stay there again, absolutely,

Convienent with a good pricePosted Feb 9, 2014
Pros: We were there in Feb. and the room temp. was what we set it at.
Cons: Soda/water was not stocked in the appropriate slots in the vending machines.
Location: Very convenient to Boston in general.
The Midtown was quiet and a nice spot across from the Christian Science Ctr. Decided to go to the C.S. Church Wed. evening testimony meeting and was pleasantly surprised to hear of the healings they experienced.

Snowed in!Posted Feb 7, 2014
Hotel staff was friendly & very helpful. We had to stay an extra night due to weather and the front desk gentleman was great, checked us in for our extra night so we did not have to worry about it and we got to stay in the same room.

Worst hotel ever stayedPosted Feb 3, 2014
This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The hotel is expensive but maybe cheaper compared to other hotels in Downtown Boston. But still not worth the price. The facilities are very bad and my room is kinda dirty with low quality furnitures. It's just like a hotel room in those old and creepy movies.

Good location, disappointing hotel.Posted Feb 3, 2014
Pros: Close to the hospital where my dad stayed. Close to other attractions. Cheaper than other hotels in the area. Also heard they had pet-friendly rooms.
Cons: Updated interiors. More attention to cleanliness of shared areas. OR an even cheaper rate.
The features of the room were dingy and old. The lamps, bed spreads, drawers were visibly worn and in bad condition. When I tried to change the thermostat, the cover of the box fell off the wall and the temperature would not change (fortunately, it was fairly comfortable, just a bit stuffy). Additionally, the elevator was dirty and actually had trash in it every time I used it. However, I must say, the bathroom was quite clean.

Excellent location.... Very very clean, takes petsPosted Jan 29, 2014
For the price and the stars was excellent. Rember not five star but we were very happy. Great parking. Only complaint was that expedia quoted parking as 22 and price was 25.....but the parking was more convenient then most hotels!!!! We really felt it was worth the price in wonderful intellectual boston! Two minute walk from boston symphony !
