Appalling service. The rudest front of house staff

Pros: The lady who served breakfast was charming, the hotel were great in terms of bringing breakfast time forward to feed early risers!
Cons: The staff you put on front of house and maybe show the cleaner how to use the skeleton key
Location: Great location and suprisingly quiet
On your room key are the words " Please leave your key at reception" What they don't say is " If you don't leave your key at reception then your room will not be cleaned" They then had the nerve to argue the point, leaving my son's room uncleaned, bed unmade and towels not replaced, as they don't have a master key or the cleaner does not know how to use it The man on reception did not speak english and refused to apologise As a rowing club, I would not stay there again or recommend it

Decent location, some unfortunate down sides...

Pros: Room itself was decent. Breakfast was included, which was great, especially for the price. Staff were good.
Cons: Some consideration for noise. Can't exactly enforce a curfew on floor board creaking, so the solution might not be simple...
Location: Boston is a great little town. Located on a main rail route, it is easy to get to, and is very scenic.
Overall, the hotel isn't bad. The staff are great, and the restaurant is decent. It comes with a full English breakfast, and for the price, that is good competition for surrounding hotels. However, there was one major downside that made my visit very miserable. The floor boards are incredibly creaky, and if you are on the main floor, you can hear every step. I am a light sleeper, and even though I was exhausted and fighting a cold, the noise of others simply walking in their rooms kept me awake past 3:30am. My room was also right above the bar, and talking could be heard until midnight (although that is much quieter and bearable compared to the floor boards) Unless you are on the top floor, this is likely to happen to you as well. I lucked out on my final night, as there was literally no other people in the hotel, so there was no noise.

Decent and affordable.

Stayed in family room which looked clean but we found a half-eaten pizza in its box in a drawer! Forgiveable though as it made us laugh. Room big and airy, bathroom spotless and bed quite comfy. The lady I spoke to on the phone (Margaret) was extremely warm and lovely and the Irish lad who checked us in was very helpful. Extremely thin walls between rooms, otherwise decent place to crash for a night out.

Adequate hotel in a good position

Pros: The position relative to the town and the bar which was open till late.
Cons: A way for the bell at the reception to be responded to. A comfortable mattress. The car park being left for at least the number of residents.
Location: In Boston and walking distance to restaurants and bars. A half hour drive from Skegness which is very nice on a good day.
I arrived at the hotel and the car park was full so parked in a pay and display. The hotel lets non residents use the car park for a fee. I did get a refund on my car park charges. There was no one at reception and although I rang the bell it was some time before anyone came. This was the same throughout my stay. The reception is unmanned which is fair enough but there seems to be no one listening out for the bell. I could feel the springs on the mattress but did tell the person who finally came to reception and they said they would inform the house keeper. I stayed two nights and the room did not appear to be cleaned during my two nights.

Staff were welcoming and friendly for the whole of our stay. The central location made it easy to explore the town and surrounding area with ease.Good breakfast, again helpful staff. We would recommend this hotel

Stayed in family rooms- one double, two twin beds in an adjoining room. Nice set up. Hot water took ages to come on . Wifi password didn't work and TV remote was lost. Breakfast was great esp the smoked haddock. Sattf very friendly.

Bed and breakfast service at hotel prices!

Freezing cold hotel with no way of turning heating on! At breakfast they had to get a portable heater! Breakfast was nice and fresh but if you're vegetarian, the option is what meat eaters have minus the meat - would like to have had maybe an extra egg, after all, we've paid the same price!! Also, watch the bar prices - a 175ml wine and pint of bitter was £6, later in the evening, a 250ml wine and pint of bitter was £9 - which quite frankly are London hotel prices!! It's difficult as there really isn't much option in Boston, but certainly not worth the money!

Room cleanliness could be better as bedroom floor was like the bottom of a bird cage.
