Great hotel in a fabulous location

We stayed at this hotel during the blizzard and everything went well. The pool area was clean and my son loved it. It's attached to shops and restaurants so that's nice too.

Great location. Right accross from the subway and easy to walk or ride anywhere in town. Nice clean hotel with a great little bar that seems pretty popular with the locals. Would definitely stay there again.

It was a great experience. A few things that made it not top notch: At checkout we wanted to pay for our room service with a different card than what was on file. My husband went down to get the car and at that time made sure the room service was switched over. I was checking out with two small children and it was very busy, the receptionist was very pleasant but when I asked her confirm remaining balance it was the exact amount of our room service. After explaining to her the my husband took care of this already she simple replied, "I do not see anything or transaction with this request, I only have the remaining balance and this card on file". Well, now the line is getting bigger behind me and the kids are tired of waiting so I just checked out. My husband on the other hand was not very happy because he had to wait back in line to rectify the bill. Another receptionist was very quick and noticed the card did not go through, could see that it was a different card and took care of the switch. She was very helpful because she actually took a few minutes to actually make sure we were satisfied and not just gave us a fake smile and quickly try to move us along.

New Year's Eve

Posted Jan 7, 2015
Pros: Standard of the rooms.
Cons: Groups of students (10 to a room) enjoying the New Year and sharing the cost, were noisy!
Location: Everything central Boston has to offer.
Fantastic stay, lovely location close to all the events.

New Years Eve!

Westin Copley is located in a very busy area in Boston. The hotel is easy to get to and centrally located. There are so many bars and restaurants in the immediate area that it's very walkable. I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone. The staff was wonderful even considering how insanely busy they were.

Wants to be great but falls short

Posted Dec 31, 2014
We stayed for 2 nights in December. As Expedia Gold+ members we should have got an upgrade. Our room 2302 was on the floor as the Terrace and opposite the elevators. Very noisy from 6 am to midnight. Poor sleep because of the noise. The room was very small despite the supposed upgrade. Expedia sent an email to us saying that we get 2 free movies on demand except the girl who answered our call did not know any thing about it and said they do not offer that. Also they charge over $38 per person per night as a resort fee - compulsory. This was in the fine print and not spotted by us. It supposedly offers breakfast and afternoon tea and some food and drinks in the evening. When we went for the afternoon tea there was only some cookies. Breakfast time was so busy that on neither day we could get any pastries, coffee/ tea machine broken on the second day. No eggs or orange juice. We basically were left with a couple of bagels and some cream cheese taken back to our room. I really object to paying $38 per person per night if the hotel is incapable of delivering. Finally they tried to charge us $61 + tax for parking for 3 nights. We were only staying 2 nights and in the second night we parked on the street for $8. All in all not a positive experience and felt robbed. Also feel that Expedia should have made the resort charge obvious or included in the cost since it was compulsory. Don't bother with this hotel. You will be disappointed.

Good choice in Boston

Well maintained, centrally located, good service. Standard rooms not on large side but not the smallest in town either. If that's a deal breaker, go to the newer Westin on the waterfront.

Nice location and good value

We had a very nice stay at the Westin Copley Place. The staff was prompt and courteous. Breakfast from room service was very good and the portions were more than ample. Our room had a nice view facing the Charles River, the television was simple to operate and the bedding was very comfortable.

we have enjoyed our stay. Excellent location. Connected via walkways to 2 malls- great for the cold weather. Also near the T. Clean, spacious and nice rooms.
