Convenient hotel linked to a mall

Pros: Convenient location.
Cons: None.
Location: Shopping and dining in Prudential Mall.
It was a rainy and windy day, but I enjoyed to stay indoor, because the hotel is connected to a mall.

Nice Back Bay location

Posted Nov 1, 2014
Pros: The best part is the location.
Cons: Update the rooms.
Location: Back bay shopping and eateries, close to the train, connected to Copley shops.
Hotel was fine for a quick stay. Bathroom was small and tub did not drain properly while shhowering. Room was satisfactory but could use updating, like a nicer tv, better accessories, and better pillows. Pleanty of elevators and the location was great.

5 days in Boston

Posted Oct 23, 2014
Pros: I liked the location of the hotel and its proximity to good shopping and restaurants.
Cons: Wifi should be free. Housekeeping should not be knocking on doors before 9 am on weekends.
Location: It does not get better in terms of shopping. Discount to luxury brand shopping are within blocks of the hotel
I stayed 5 nights at the Westin Copley for a conference recently. Overall, the stay was pleasant. The room was clean and had a great view of the river. It was kind of loud in the mornings on both Saturday and Sunday and this was before 9 am. There were doors being opened and slammed constantly and people talking in the hallway. It was partially from the housekeeping staff and partially from the guests next door. The walls were thinner than I expected. I asked for and got free wifi, which was offered through the block of rooms reserved for my conference, but the rooms had been fully booked up by the time I booked. For $385 / night, you would think wifi would be included. The Westin Green Choice program offered a $5 voucher for each day that housekeeping didn't have to change your linens. Unfortunately, they also did not make your bed or empty your trash on those days. I really didn't care that I slept in the same sheets, but it would have been nice to have housekeeping tidy up. Afterall, we are talking about a hotel with a reputation which charged $385 / night.

Great Location!! Great Staff!!

The staff is excellent - courteous, helpful and efficient. The escalator was down as well as some of the elevators. Moving about the building was very slow.

Great weekend getaway

Posted Oct 20, 2014
Pros: Beautiful river view from our room.
Cons: The bathroom - a bit small, no fan, just kind of OK.
My husband and I came to Boston to attend parent's weekend at our older daughter's college and to watch our younger daughter row in the Head of the Charles regatta. The Westin was a perfect home base for the weekend -- it felt like a romantic weekend getaway, but we still got to see our kids! Love the late check out policy on Sunday, it allowed us to get to the regatta for the day's events, but not have to rush and leave our bags with the concierge in the morning. I do think it is great when a very efficient hotel that caters to business travelers promotes a more laid back atmosphere on the weekends, which Westin does very well.

Great hotel with Awesome location

Posted Oct 14, 2014
By far the best thing about this hotel is the location. Everything in Boston was a comfortable walk away.. MIT and Harvard, were only a 5 to10 minute train ride from the stop right across the street. Flour, a great bakery and coffee shop revered by the locals was under a 5 minute walk (great place for breakfast.) The Boston Public Library is right across the street, as well as several churches and a park where a Farmers Market was being held. Boston Common's didn't feel more than 10 to 15 minute walk (starting point of the freedom trail.) Aside from some renovation work that's being done on the entrance, the facilities are in great shape. Conveniently located restaurants, bar, and coffee shop.
