Great hotel with great location

Posted Jul 28, 2014
Pros: Rooms were comfortable and nice size although the bathroom was a bit small.
Cons: the price.... valet parking was very expensive $51.00 a day and there was no special price for people staying at the hotel.
Location: restaurants and shopping are very close.

Family summer getaway

Posted Jul 27, 2014
Pros: Staff and location
Cons: Lighting in the bathroom and additional mirror in the room
Location: Boston public library, Trinity church, Prudential center, Newbury street, can't say enough about how happy we were with the location
great location easy to access trolley and subway system. Hotel is linked to 2 malls and there is a Starbucks in the lobby. Really appreciated the architecture of the city. Don't miss out on the Harvard tour - really ineretsing.

Nice Hotel, Well Located, Some minor drawbacks.

Posted Jul 26, 2014
Pros: The beds were small (as noted above), but they were comfortable in typical Westin fashion.
Cons: It would be nice if all the rooms with 2 beds were all queens, which is what I would expect for a full service hotel.
Location: This hotel is centrally located, and you can walk to most major tourist attractions
This hotel is an excellent location for staying in Boston on vacation. It has all the amentities as well. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They readily offered the 3:00 checkout which was helpful since we had a 7:00 p.m. flight out. The only drawbacks were related to the room comfort. The rooms were small for a full service hotel and the restrooms were extremely small for any type of hotel. Additionally, although we reserved the Double Room, we requested 2 queens. We didn't get the queens, which is fine (nothing we could do about it), but if you are sharing a double bed, it's not a great deal for the price. Most hotels offer King and double Queen options since 2 people in a double bed is usually uncomfortable. Or at least the double at a lower price. So if you are a family of 4 or more, be wary of getting the 2 double bed option.

Great location, Jr. Suite roomy

Posted Jul 23, 2014
Pros: Great location, large room, bathtub, view, lots of outlets for charging.
Cons: Free wifi
Location: Newbury street has lots of shopping and restaurants. Freedom trail is close by. Beautiful churches Fenway stadium
We were happy to find a good location for walking around Boston in a nice area. The room was spacious with two queen beds and a nice couch with some floor space to spare (perfect for me to roll out my yoga mat). The price seemed fair for summer and having three people in a room so that worked great for us. Two things that bugged me were they offered when you check in "going green during your stay" and not having daily room service clean your room each day. Now I get that basic concept and never being offered that (and tired after a long flight and a bit caught off guard) we said okay. You can change your mind at anytime during your stay, but the more I thought about it I felt it way a way not to have as many housekeepers (since we made our own beds each day and kept track of our towels). I just see more and more companies cutting corners to save money and not paying employee benefits to use the term "green" to make people think it's good. I don't know improbably reading too much into it. Also many hotels we've stayed at in the past have included free wifi, Westin does not. $14 a day for up to three devices. Phones you usually have your own access, but I couldn't use my iPad without the wifi. They do have two computers in the business center with a printer. I think there's a fee to use them. Unless you just need a boarding pass, those you can print for free. Our stay was nice, the room was clean and roomy with a nice view. I would stay again when in Boston.

EXCELLENT BY ALL MEANS

Posted Jul 21, 2014
Booked this room for 3 days for a baseball trip to Fenway with my son. We had a junior suite and it was very spacious and large. I rebooked this same room for a second trip in September. Hotel was very clean, staff was pleasant, courteous, & helpful. Rooms were very comfortable and the location was great. Nearby was shopping attached and within a 5 minute walk to another mall. Lots of great things to do within a 5-10 minute walk. My only complaint was the lack of good service and good food at the buffet for breakfast. Room service was great.

Great location

Posted Jul 19, 2014
Pros: It was beautiful and the beds were awesome. Best sleep we had in a hotel in a long time. The valet parking was so convenient.
Cons: well, maybe the flushing of the toilets. It may have been an issue because we were all the way on the 34th floor, but not sure???
Location: Dining, Fenway Park and shopping.
Hotel is in walking distance to Fenway and that was the main reason for our visit to Boston. Great shopping all around with plenty of places to dine.
