Well positioned, but staff so so!!!

Posted Jul 3, 2015
Had a bad experience twice with the keys. Went out of the room in the bath robe to bring ice cubes, the keys couldn't open back the room. I asked a guest to inform the reception on his way out. It took them 20m to come up. I asked for explanations. The 1st reaction was sorry that's all. When I asked again for a reason, the guy answered back, "Do you want us to offer you something?!", In a abrupt way! I had the same issue with the keys after I went to the SPA. Could not use the keys at the elevator. I receive an excuse letter the next day. Big deal!!!

Great hotel, lovely spa and it also seemed to have the most happening lobby bar in the city.

Great stay for my 1st time in Boston. I love the W's and this one ranked up there in the top. The staff and the timeliness of room service and any needs were met quickly! The mattress was not the most comfortable, but overall it was a great stay!

Trendy, fun hotel.

Nice hotel in a convenient part of town. A little noisy on Saturday nights. Active club in the basement of the hotel. Some cleanliness issues particularly in the halls with trays and dirty glasses in the hallways. Reservation request for adjacent rooms made a month in advance not able to be accommodated. Rooms not ready at 5 pm. Staff very capable and friendly.

Fabulous Hotel

Posted Jun 2, 2015
Pros: Great facilities--rooms, bathrooms. One of my favorite places to stay.
Cons: Nothing I can think of.
Location: In the heart of the theater district, but a bit of a walk to Newbury Street. Close proximity to the Boston Common.
Great hotel, friendly staff, excellent rooms and common spaces. Love this hotel.

Excellent Hotel, Great Location

Posted Jun 1, 2015
Pros: Room set up, staff, everything!
Cons: Not a thing.
Location: The Wang Theater is right around the corner, City Place is right across the street, there's plenty to do in the area.
We were able to check in 3 hours early without a problem, which is always really nice. The set up of our room was very unique and one of the nicest I've seen, and I travel often. Room service food was excellent!

Great location

Room provides noise machines to quell the hospital sirens nearby, which was great. Beautiful hotel, but lacks storage in rooms, and the light switches are in obscure places. Staff was fantastic, courteous, and helpful. Exercise facility is the best I've seen. Would've loved a complimentary cup if coffee in the morning!

Great Hotel in Boston

Posted May 31, 2015
Pros: Great location, room comfort and cleanliness, staff friendliness
Cons: The minibar is excessively well stocked, to the point that it detracts from the room's decor. Breakfast is too expensive.
Location: Boston Common, Freedom Trail, Original Cheers Bar, Haunted Boston Tour. Dunkin Donuts, 7-eleven, Dunkin Donuts, other casual dining and Dunkin Donuts.
Make no mistake, this is a wonderful hotel. Located a block from Boston Common and subway station, this was a perfect spot for our family vacation. The room was beautiful. The staff could not have been more accommodating. My biggest problem is that the hotel was listed on expedia as having childcare services. I filtered my search results explicitly for places that had childcare. When I arrived, the front desk clerk had no idea what I was talking about! They gave us some swan boat tickets as a consolation, which was a nice gesture, but it must have set them back around $10. Had I known this amenity was not offered, we probably would have opted for a less expensive hotel.
