Boston Vacation

Posted Jul 29, 2015
A nice hotel. The front desk staff and the bellmen were very accommodating and helpful. The pool was clean and my kids loved it. We thought being close to the hospital it would be loud, but we hardly noticed it.

Horrible experience and No management Follow-Up

Posted Jul 27, 2015
Extremely rude and gruff staff member at front desk failed to follow-up after close to an hour ( in the evening when he was not that busy). When I politely inquired about the status, he hung up the phone, again without follow-up, and the Twice -promised rollaway bed was never delivered. He made several negative comments about my booking through Expedia. Worse part is that a manager in guest services never even had the courtesy to follow up! There are plenty of wonderful hotels in and around Boston - and this is Not one of them!

Hotel close to all the best of Boston!

Posted Jul 26, 2015
Pros: Close proximity to the best of Boston
Cons: Pool - was told the pool was heated. Found the water uncomfortably cold. Hours were not convenient. Restaurant service was very slow.
Location: Museum of Science, Faneuil Hall, the Harbor, Rose Kennedy Greenway, Boston Common/Garden, Newbury St, JP Licks, Paramount, Backbay
After failing to locate a condo for our family vacation, we chose to stay at the Wyndham Beacon Hill. We wanted to be close to transportation points, activities, and all the best of Boston. Wyndham Beacon Hill provided all that we needed and more! Close to Boston Common, Faneuil Hall, the Harbor, Museum of Science, the famous Paramount and other great places to eat, Newbury St, and more. Also easy access to the Whole Foods and CVS right out behind the hotel.

Good Hotel, convenient location.

Posted Jul 25, 2015
We stayed at this hotel on an Expedia "Roulette" and we were extremely pleased. The hotel I believe has been totally renovated (used to be a Holiday Inn) the rooms are nicely decorated with modern features and décor. A coffee maker, flat screen TV and a well equipped bathroom, however a little on the small side. Very clean and extremely helpful, pleasant staff. Especially Shenequia at the Valet Parking stand and Anthony who carted our luggage and showed us to our room. They were both a wealth of information and greeted us every time like we were friends. Shenequia went out of her way to guide us to the car rental return and offered helpful recommendations of what to do while in Boston. We took the 2 day Upper Deck Trolley Tour package which I would highly recommend. They have expanded their route to include pick up in front of the Wyndham and it is an excellent way to learn about the city and also to use as a mode of transport as they offer three different routes that will take you anywhere you could possibly want to go. However, they do not drop off at the Wyndham. We got off at stop 7 and it was a 5 minute walk back to the hotel. There is a Whole Foods Market and a CVS right beside the hotel which is great for quick snacks and forgotten toiletries. There is also a Au Bon Pane at the front of the hotel which offers a nice quick breakfast very reasonably priced. Overall we would return to this hotel for the location and comfort.

Ok for a night

Posted Jul 15, 2015
Pros: Location
Cons: The hotel room bathrooms.
Hotel is located in Beacon Hill, close to restaurants, bars and shopping. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was disappointing and in need of an update, especially the bathroom. Like the title says, ok for a night but I personally wouldn't choose to this hotel for an extended stay.

The valet guys were too busy making plans on their cell phones to help us with our luggage. They just sat there while my 10 year old daughter took out our bags. There was only one bell man and he had a difficult time keeping up with the demands of the job. The hotel told us they were under staffed.

My stay was fine until my last afternoon

Posted Jul 15, 2015
The hotel staff decided to stage a protest and marched for over an hour outside the hotel's front doors. The chants and cowbells prevented me from working in my room. I ended up checking out early. The front desk staff made sure to let me know that I was still being charged for that night and made no effort to apologize. Prior to this day, my first four nights were wonderful and the location is great.
