"Great location, nice room"
Overall excellent, a bit pricey. My only thought is that at this price one could expect better noise insulation to adjacent rooms and against street noise by better windows.

"We had a great time in Boston."
We loved the Sheraton. It is located just a block from Berklee School of Music. It is also connected to a fabulous indoor mall with great shopping and some fabulous restaurants. We had some inconsiderate neighbors and security took care of it immediately. We plan to visit again!

"Lovely hotel in the heart of boston"
Lovely hotel with exceptionally helpful staff (though American customer service is generally excellent anyway). You can have breakfast in your room but there isn't a specific dining area for breakfast. Two nice restaurants within the hotel and that lovely Lindt shop on the corner! You're in an expensive part of town but there are ample reasonably priced restaurants within easy walking distance and the red line T stop is a two minute walk. We stayed twice within one holiday breaking in the middle to go to New York. When we checked back in for the second part of our stay at the Lenox there was homemade cookies and milk for us in our room as a welcome back. Lovely gesture. The Flour Bakery is nearby and excellent for breakfast. Overall a great hotel.

    Where to stay in Boston

    Boston Hotel Guide

From forging its way to independence during the colonial days to maintaining some of the most elite sports teams in the nation today, Boston, Massachusetts, is a triumphant city. It’s a colorful city seeping with athletic culture and historical roots; a mecca for both sports enthusiasts and history aficionados alike.

    Hotels

Many of hotels in Boston, especially those in the downtown area, bring tourists within walking distance of some of the most historical sites in the United States such as Faneuil Hall and Boston Common. Back Bay is another area of town that offers a vast selection of Boston hotels. This neighborhood features city tours, shops, restaurants, and notable landmarks. Regardless of what area you stay in, you’ll find a wide range of accommodations from luxury lodging and trendy boutique hotels to comfortable Boston resorts.

    Transportation

Vacationers like to book car rentals, so they have the freedom to explore the Boston area at their will. As a general rule, avoid driving in the actual city though due to the congested streets and expensive parking.

For those without their own sets of wheels, The MBTA, also called The T, provides both a metro and bus system to areas within the city, as well as neighboring towns. The T is one of the most common ways of traveling around Boston because it’s both reliable and affordable. Once you arrive at your destination, you’ll find a number of other attractions and activities within walking distance.

    Travel Basics

Boston is a pedestrian-friendly town with historic tours and plenty of sights to see from your own two feet; It’s no wonder they call it the Walking City. However, when you’re hitting the pavement to explore, leave your flip flops and stilettos at home. Boston is notorious for its uneven cobblestone roads, which are a recipe for twisted ankles, so pack a pair of comfy sneakers instead.

Boston is a friendly and inviting destination, but just as it is the case in any bustling metropolis, the possibility of crime does exist. To avoid seeming like an easy target, keep a strong hold on your backpack or purse at all times, and travel with your wallet in your front pocket. Especially at night, stick to well-lit areas, use the buddy system, and don’t hop on empty trolleys or trains.

    Weather

It can be tricky to dress for the weather in Boston as it can vary greatly from morning to afternoon. For some of the best weather and temperatures though, the months between June and November are a prime time to visit. Summer temperatures sometimes reach 80 F and bring humidity, while the autumn months are slightly cooler and more comfortable.

If you’re planning to visit Boston during the winter months, don’t forget to pack boots, a warm jacket, and even scarves, mittens, and hats. Winter temperatures range between the 20 and 40 F, and snowflakes are a common occurrence. If you’re not a fan of snow, we recommend holding off on visiting until summer or autumn to avoid trekking knee-high in the white stuff!

Boston caters to the weather serving up New England chowder on chilly days, breezy swan boat rides on those muggy afternoons, and a comfortable stay regardless of what season you book your Boston vacation. Here at Expedia.com, check out our vast selection of travel discounts, including cheap Boston hotel deals and bargains on Boston flights to visit Bean Town without breaking the bank.
