“Pleasant Experience”
Hotel Cezanne bills itself as a boutique hotel in the city, and that is an accurate portrayal. While not right in the center of the old town, it is well located near the Cours Mirabeau and in easy walking distance of restaurants, shops and cafes. The staff were friendly and knowledgable. The breakfast was lovely, with a varied continental style spread of meat, breads, pastries, and cheese, as well as champagne. Additionally, the lovely chef was happy to cook anything else for guests off of the menu of choices, which included omelettes, french toast, eggs benedict, and waffles, among others. There is also a pasta anytime service, where guests can choose a pasta and sauce off of a good selection of options, to have in the lounge or your room anytime. Very appealing after several long days of sightseeing! The rooms had comfortable beds and the bathroom shower was a combination hand shower with a rain shower fixed. The bathroom included most any items you could think of, including cotton swabs, ponytail holder, hairdryer, and the requisite shampoo, soap and lotion. A charming hotel with striking artwork in the confortable lounge area, and a drink area with a nice selection of wine, beer and and cocktails (not included). Probably most suitable for adults, couples, and solo travellers.
“A Perfect Hotel”
The hotel staff was extremely courteous and helpful. The room was spotless and modern. The parking was conveniently located adjacent to the hotel. The hotel was centrally located and was near all the historical sites and shopping. There were many restaurants in the vicinity. I highly recommend this hotel.
“Good choice in Aix”
This hotel was very comfortable and the desk service was friendly and helpful. My only complaints: it would have been nice to have a gym/fitness area and some nights it was very noisy (depending on guests in neighboring rooms). Overall, it was a good choice and I felt very comfortable there. There is a business center, which was helpful. I recommend this hotel.
“great place!”
The room was great and the service was perfect
“Comfortable boutique hotel, great location”
We had a wonderful stay at the Cezanne Hotel - Highly recommended. It's a modern boutique style hotel, quite refreshing compared to all the old traditional hotels you mostly see in France. The staff are very helpful and speak English. Their restaurant recommendations were excellent too. Perfect Location - Cezanne Hotel is only one block from the train station, and a 5 minute walk to the city centre. There is free wifi in the lobby and rooms. They allow you to lounge in the lobby as long as you like, so feel free to eat your own food there too as they are all very nice about it. We did not eat breakfast there because it's very expensive.
“A delight in Aix-en-Provence”
We stayed at the Cezanne Hotel in Aix-en-Provence for 3 nights. It was delightful. I decided that Aix is kind of like Paris without the attitude. The hotel was within walking distance of the little local train station. Our room was of good size, very clean, and we had a lovely window to open. The hotel was having the hallway walls painted during our stay - but there was no odor. We loved the artwork on the walls and the very fun, artsy decor. Breakfast was outstanding - especially for a French hotel. The hotel's chef personally visits you at your table and inquires if she can provide one of her specialities! The first morning we had omelets filled with goat cheese, covered with Provence honey, and then lightly sauteed. Delicious!! The staff was excellent - friendly and attentive. They gave us some wonderful restaurant recommendations - which we pass along to you. Ze Bistrot's chef is young and has a 3 or 5 plat 'surprize' menu. You simply let them know what you do not or cannot eat and each course is a surprise. La Tomato Verte was another delightful restaurant with very good food. We were within easy walking distance of most everything - and truly enjoyed the Saturday market.
“lovely hotel in a fun city”
Very comfortable hotel in a good location....very convenient to have a refrigerator in the room and enjoyed the generosity of the complementary beverages..a nice touch. A knowledgeable staff always willing to help.
“Can't wait to go back”
The Quality of the Hotel exceeded my expectations. Everything thing from the bed, bedding, to the bathroom fixtures were very high quality. The room had 2 double payne windows so there was vertually no street noise. And I can't say enough about the staff. Thay made you feel like part of the family. We plan to return soon!
“Would stay here again.”
Boutique hotel with a sense of flair. Very hospitable staff. Thoroughly enjoyed. about a block from the train station which is convenient also. Parkin gincluded with the room was a definite plus. Breakfast too expensive -- we ate elsewhere (find a patisserie, eg. Pauls).
“Great, but don't expect parking.”
Unique, artsy boutique hotel with a great location. Aside from the lack of available hotel parking, which is mentioned everywhere the hotel is advertised, the stay was very comfortable and pleasant. Remember to request a parking space because you will not be asked about this in advance. The room, bed and bathroom were extremely large by European standards. The unique decor was a welcome change of pace after staying in traditionally heavy and dark French hotel rooms.
