“Excellent location”

An fine hotel in a superb location. Staff always willing to help. Excellent room with great view over harbour. Within short distance of a wide varuety of hotels and bars, plus shops and water trips. Would certainly return if visiting Marseille again.

“Can't beat the location”

After driving through the crazy Marsielle traffic we were thrilled to arrive at our hotel and find that they had valet parking. The service was wonderful. We were just staying the night because we had an early plane to catch the next day. They offered us a wake up call and told us they would have our car ready and waiting for our departure - and it was! The location of this place can not be beat - right at the top of Port Vieux. Although we did not have a room with a view we could simply walk out the front door and be a the port in less than a minute. The hotel was quiet, clean and comfortable. I would absoutely return to the hotel (and I am traveler with very high expectations).

Great locación. Nicely renovated. Helpful personel Wonderful view from the breakfast room and bar. They need to redesign closets to be safer and practical.

“Perfect spot for a sunset view over the port”

Don't believe what they say about the French being rude to American travelers. Brush up on your foreign language skills and end your trip in Marseille at the Mercure Vieux Port hotel. We were kindly upgraded to a room overlooking the port, and oh what a view! This is THE hotel to stay at when in Marseille. You are in the center of all the activity, and within walking distance of so much of what this great city has to offer.

“Optimal location”

The hotel is very nice with furniture from 17-18 century. It is in front of the vieux port, there are nice rooms with the view on the sea. It is not cheap, but it is worth what you pay for. Extremely nice and helpful staff.

“Excellent start to our holiday”

Excellent location opposite Vieux Port and next to main Tourist Office. Reception staff in hotel and tourist office staff very helpful. Reports of poor safety appeared unjustified. We felt safe and explored around local parts of City with no problems. Locals very welcoming. Great atmosphere on the 21st June with a local music festival and bands on street corners.

Very good hotel. The very best location on the Vieux Port and also great personel very listening and understanding. One of the best value in the city. The room might be a bit small but the decoration is lovely and very comfortable.

“Awesome location and great staff”

We were a little taken aback with outside view because it looks old, but inside, staff spoke great english, were super friendly and we had a great view of Vieux Port! We walked everywhere from the convenient location. Nice sized room, and we were very pleased with the bathroom after hearing how small, awful they can be. Definite return spot.

The hotel is quiet, weel located, in front of the vieux port, with a easy access to the commercials zones and restaurants. The room is charming, with an old fashion style. The staff is multilingual end friendly. I strongly recomennd this hotel.

The hotel has a fabulous location, right near the boats, the wonderful little tourist train, etc. There are many good restautants nearby. There is a "red light" district on the back streets, but that can be easily avoided. There is so much activity in this area that I felt very safe, as a single woman.
