“Would return in a New York minute”

Excellent air-conditioning; attractive decor in colors of the region; a sumptuous breakfast buffet; a lovely pool & jacuzzi ; reception desk staff extremely pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable. If you're driving, the parking lot is extremely difficult to exit without damaging your vehicle.

“Would go back again”

The room was larger than expected. Loved having a balcony where we could sit and watch people and the city. Loved that it's so close to the heart of all the activity - shopping, dining, people watching. The breakfast was good, except the scrambled eggs were strange - as if something else was mixed with it. Great bread and pastries. The bar was also fun - a jazz trio, that wasn't half bad performed our last evening there.

“A thoroughly good hotel”

A modern spacious hotel in its own substantial grounds on the edge of the partially pedestrianised historic city centre. We stayed a week and were provided with a room on the top floor with a balcony large enough for a table and chairs. The standard of the hotel and the staff was constantly high and easily deserving of three stars. The city centre isn't quiet at night but we had the option of closing the windows and using the air conditioning or leaving them open and tolerating the party-goers and night singers. We chose the latter. We only dined in the hotel on one evening but found the restaurant price was reflected in the very good quality of food, wine and service, and compared well with the equivalent restaurants in the city centre. We really enjoyed our stay. Although we normally don't go back to the same place for a second holiday, we might make an exception in this case.

“Could not be better”

We had an excellent experience here. The staff was helpful and the room was modern, spacious and clean. The location is outstanding. The hotel is just at the edge of the Old Town, next to the historic baths, the Vendome Pavillion and the terrific historic area around the cathedral. It is a 5-minute walk to Cour Mirabeau. Excellent restaurant are just minutes away.

“Good Value”

The hotel is reasonably priced and is very pretty. It's in a very convenient location to the city center and is very close to a lot of restaurants, cafes, laundry and grocery store. The staff are friendly but for tourist tips go to the office of tourism in the center of town.

This hotel was very nice and modern; pool area was lovely. The major problem was trying to find it while driving--very tricky turns that are not obvious. Parking was very tight as well, but available. Hotel was walking distance to most sites.

“Good location - decent hotel”

Finding the hotel when arriving by car is a bit of a challenge - the street address refers to a tiny alley - thank God for GPS! We spent two nights at the Aquabella while travelling in Provence and it was comfortable, if a little pricey. It is ideally located for exploring the city as it's well located in the historic centre. One word of warning - there is a little bar called WooHoo on the corner of the street which happened to be positioned directly under our window. Drunken American students make a hell of a racket at 2.00 am.....and so do Jackdaws on the roof opposite at 4.00 am....although I must admit we had left the window open.

“Very well located”

Spent 5 days at the Aquabella with my 78 year old mother and it was ideally placed to see Aix on foot with a great choice of restaurants including the hotel's within easy distance. Our room on the 4th floor was amply spacious with a large window that opened onto views of the pool, gardens and even the cathedral spire. The absence of a porter to help with luggage and not having their own car park was the only downside.
