“Cute studios”

The Atrium was a nice place that rented out studio apartments. So we had a kitchenette in our room, which was excellent because there were a couple groceries and markets right down the street from the hotel. So it was nice to save a couple bucks and get our hands dirty. It's a short walk from the city center (think 5 minutes). My only complaints about the place are that the bed we got was actually a convertible sofa bed, so it wasn't the comfiest, and that our room wasn't cleaned while we were there. which was weird, but it was very clean to start, so as long as you don't make a mess it's not really an issue. All in all it was a nice hotel and a good deal.

“Relaxing and fun just chilling..”

The hotel location was convenient to the old city. The staff was courteous and efficient, accomodating us with our minimal French. The rooms were typical European, small but adequate for our travels.

“Good Location”

We could walk to anywhere within the ring road which has all you want to see. Good location for sightseeing or just relaxing in Provence.

“It does the job”

This is a pleasant 5-minute walk from Cours Mirabeau - the main drag. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Ask for a hair dryer at the front desk. The room has a kitchenette, if you feel like eating in, but the bed is a pull-out couch (not good if you're over 6'). Laundry room available, but the one dryer left our clothes more than damp. Safe, accessible, good service.

“Different hotel.”

Interesting place. The units are really apartments with a partial kitchen. The hotel does not clean your room unless you pay 50 euros, for each cleaning. The rooms are big and pretty comfortable and the location is very good, walk easily to the good parts of town. The staff is very nice. Kind of an odd ball place but we enjoyed staying there. Free WIFI. Would be ok for a business traveler but we were a family on vacation, good for us because of the kitchen.

“Nice and basic”

A basic hotel, short walk to life in Aix. Considering the reviews we had read before about the hotel, we were relieved that the hotel room wa generally clean and the reception staff were polite. The shower hook was broken and the air conditioning did not work, but we were aware that things could have been a lot worse.

“Good value hotel”

We were slightly apprehensive about staying here given some of the other reviews, but the hotel is fine. Reception staff are very friendly and helpful (eg - offering baggage storage when we arrived before check-in time). Rooms are quite small, but clean and air-conditioned and the kitchen area was well equipped. The shower hook was broken, but otherwise the bathroom was fine, with sufficient towels and toiletries provided. We stayed for one night and were not charged additional cleaning fees. The hotel is well located, less than 10 minutes stroll to Cours Mirabeau, with easy access to a range of bars and restaurants, the Cezanne walking tour and the Musee Granet. I would stay here again.

“ok in Aix”

Hotel is not pretty or fancy--but it was the only place in Aix I could find that a family of 5 could stay in for one night on our way from Avignon to Nice. Fine for a stop over, but not a place I would want to stay for more than a single night. Parking was very difficult in Aix so it is a good idea to know where you are going before you get there. Staff was very pleasant and the room was clean. Towels were like dishtowels, but the bathroom was pretty big for Europe. You get what you pay for...

“Not Much Personality or Customer Service”

Upon entering the room, I noticed a wall was being repaired ( a printed sign on paper said the room was under renovation). I returned to the front desk, asked to speak to the manager and was discouraged from waiting to do so. Was told no other rooms were available and there was technically no renovation ( just a repair under way for a previous leak). I negotiated free parking (normally $12/day) as compensation for the condition of the room, but had to remind the front desk clerk upon check out. Only three desk/dining chairs along with the sofa bed in a superior room that slept four. Would recommend looking for another hotel.

“Dirty hotel”

Staff was not well trained, not enough towels, soap, etc. Very dirty carpets. Good value but won't stay there again.
