“Good option in Marseille”

Great hotel, very smart, clean and tidy, looking over the equestrian race track which was an unexpected bonus. The hotel has quite a business feel about it, but the infinity pool, spa and saunas quickly take you away from that.... Would definately stay again!

“Great Hotel All Around”

The Villa Massalia in Marseille was a great hotel all around. Location was residential and quiet, but close enough walk to the boardwalk and Vieux Port for nightlife, and also faced the Parc Borely for walking, rollerblading, etc. Staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Rooms were comfortable, clean, and quiet. An added bonus was guest use of the sauna, steam room, and jacuzzi.

“Excellent end to camping trip”

Booked this hotel as a luxurious one night end to a camping holiday. The hotel is close (5min walk) to a nice beach and there was a great italian buffet restaurant about 25minute walk along the beach road toward marseille. The room was of a great standard and the pool was nice. It is a little small but is not used by many people even when hotel seemed busy as the beach was so close. The staff were helpful and like most places allowed us to use the facilities after checking out as our return flight was an evening flight. Expedia room rate was fantastic when compared with the standard hotel room rates.

“Great hotel, great service”

I stayed only one night on business but it was a great experience, the staff which make or break a hotel were without doubt excellent, they all spoke good english, they were all very polite and incredibly helpful. the rooms were very good quality and the bed and bedding excellent, the temperature was also good and the air conditioning very quiet and controlable. I ate dinner with a client in the restaurant and the food was good, nouveau cuisine so very tasty without being too filling, good wine and the matre d' very proffesional. Nice wine list. There was an outside pool and a spa but I did not get to try these. The outside patio is a nice place to sit in the afternoon and watch the sun set. the hotel is not by the sea and there is not a great deal immediately outside the hotel, but for my use this was not relevent. I would use again but next time take my trunks.

“Beautiful Luxury Hotel”

This hotel has a wonderful pool and spa area and the rooms are very modern. Additionally, there were large bathrooms and everything was clean. Anything requested was happily supplied by the hotel staff, who were mostly very friendly. Also, I left my wallet in a drawer at the hotel on accident and I received an email from the hotel asking where they should send it within a week of my departure. I was a little disappointed with the location of the hotel as it was about a 30 minute walk from the metro and it was several metro stops from the pier and most of the main attractions of Marseilles. However, for anyone looking to just relax at a luxury hotel in the South of France, this is your place.

Outside the center of marseille, in a quiet area on the race track within walking distance to the ocean. Shopping, restaurants and nightlife are at least 15 minutes away by car. Contemporary feel. Pool and spa only open from 10am to 7pm. Professional and courteous staff.

“Great hotel with spa facilities”

Don't be fooled by the name 'villa' as Villa Massalia Concorde is a fairly large modern hotel that is situated just one block back from the sea front in Marseille. Whilst the hotel is located at a roundabout we had no poblems with noise. Staff were very friendly and helpful e.g. they were able to find us a lovely seafood restaurant in the fishing port area - on a busy Saturday night. Room was very comfortable but no tea /coffee making facilities - always a minus. The spa facilities were located on the ground floor and whilst there were 'dedicated' lifts that took you directly into the gym /spa area these were not well signed - my daughter and I finished up padding through the main reception area! The jacuzzie, sauna and outdoor swimming pool were all well appointed but on the day we were there a second jacuzzi would have been helpful. The jacuzzi had been taken over by male guests who were relaxing (luxuriating?!) in the jacuzzi whilst watching the football highlights on the flat screen TV. No room for us women!! Definitely a hotel that I would stay at again.
