Pros: The character, staff friendliness and very helpful with local information.
Location: The hotel was within walking distance of most all of the shopping and dining. A very nice tourist stop.
This hotel was a very quaint and unique Heritage Building Hotel. The room was small but had a comfortable bed. The bathroom was undersized, with no counter to put your toiletries on and there was only a shower stall, this was the smallest of the rooms though. The hotel lobby was very comfortable and well appointed. There is also a museum in the hotel that is free to enter, as a hotel patron. The breakfast that comes with your stay was very good, not you average continental breakfast. You ordered off the menu and the food was plentiful and fresh, hot and good. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Interesting building, pleasant townPosted Nov 12, 2013
Stayed one night after visiting Hoover Dam. Old-fashioned hotel with plenty of character, good value, helpful staff. Plus there's a good bar just across the street.

Charming hotel in historic Boulder CityPosted Oct 28, 2013
Pros: Location, charm. The museum's a must-see if you're going to see the Hoover Dam (formerly the Boulder Dam) - it tells you about working conditions, etc
Cons: Add counter space in the bathroom.
Location: Restaurants and shops (many antiques) within a few minutes walk. 5 minute drive to the dam. Easy (and free) parking.
Very pleasant stay. Charming hotel in fantastic location -- right in historic Boulder City. Great little museum inside the hotel. Rooms need a little work, but very charming overall. Cooked-to-order breakfast included. Friendly staff.

Nice character, comfortable bed, excessive scentPosted Oct 21, 2013
Pros: Nice antique furnishings, unique character.
Cons: Use fragrance-free cleaning products.
All very nice except for the strongly scented cleaning products they evidently use in the rooms, combined with a window that would not open.

Great hotelPosted Oct 20, 2013
We stayed here one night before heading to the Hoover dam and Grand Canyon and it was a great stay. Perfect location for the dam and really friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was good too!

Reminded me of visiting Grandma's house.Posted Oct 5, 2013
Pros: Within walking distance to restaurants.
Cons: Upgraded mattresses. Ugh!
So enjoyed the atmosphere including the beautiful wood work and creaky floors and historic story of this old building. The breakfast is made-to-order and included in the price, and was delicious! The room is quite small which was understandable because of the era, but the mattress could stand an upgrade. That was THE hardest bed I have ever slept on in my 58 years! All in all we enjoyed our stay.

Lovely clean small town convenient for Hoover DamPosted Oct 3, 2013
Pros: Lounge and dining room
Cons: Coffee machine would be an improvement
Location: Near to Lake Mead and Hoover dam
Lounge and dining room very attractive, rooms a diappointment, very small and bathroom even smaller. Bed small for a queen and hard suitable for one night stay

Best place we stayed during our vacationPosted Sep 28, 2013
Pros: Staff, Location in Hotel plaza, Breakfast, easy to get to when flying in from Vegas on way to Grand Canyon.
Cons: Can't think of a thing!
Location: Boulder Dam, Museum in the Hotel, and Not a far drive to Grand Canyon South Rim
Arrived at the hotel later in the evening and wasn't sure what to expect. The hotel was a classic/historical building. The décor was just beautiful! The room was very nice. However, what made this hotel great instead of just good was the staff. They were so friendly and helpful in finding places to eat, what to see and where to go. We had breakfast there both mornings and the food was excellent. Starting the day in such pleasant surroundings with pleasant staff certainly was refreshing. We came here on vacation to see the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, and Southern Utah National Parks and probably won't make it back to see those things again. However, would love to come back to Boulder City (and Stay at Boulder Dam Hotel) and stay longer in the town and just relax. Seems like a nice little town with nice folks. My one regret was that, because we were pressed for time, we didn't get to go through the museum that is located in the hotel. Maybe on our next stay here!

Boulder Dam hotel stayPosted Sep 15, 2013
Pros: It was a"historic" site and close to my business meeting.
Cons: Explain the hours of the restaurant and descibe the room sizes.
Location: I was on business so I did not seek any additional things to do.
Hotel is old. The room was small. The bed waas excellent. TV was tiny. the parking lot outside was noisy. The Hot water supply to the shower was not large in volume. I chose the hotel because it advertisied a restaurant and I arrived later in the evening. The restaurant was not open for dinner. I will not stay here again.
