Wonderful historic hotel

Posted May 13, 2015
If you want something a little different from the usual chain hotel, you should try the Boulder Dam Hotel. Very friendly, free admission to the attached museum, historical features, convenient and a wonderful free cooked to order breakfast. A-1 all around.

Excellent hotel near Vegas

Posted May 2, 2015
Love the older Inns and/or hotels. This was just perfect for us since we didn't want the busy of Vegas but was still close enough to Vegas. I would definitely recommend this hotel!!!!!!!!!!

Know What You're Getting then Decide

Posted Apr 6, 2015
Booked two rooms for us & 3 kids for 1st night on West Coast. Did not get adjoining rooms but did adjoin to a stranger. Could hear their tv clearly all night, & elecric toothbrush in the a.m. as original wood door was all that separated us. Hotel is old & historically important so know this is possible when you book. Summer means Sat night bands play live across the street. You will not be asleep before 11p.m. Again, this is fine if you know in advance. For us jet-lagged 5, it was horrible. People even played the lobby piano until late at night! That matters because it's a small hotel the size of a large house. The place should have an income stream but maybe not as a hotel- just as a museum & restaurant. The surrounding town was lovely, though, and we wish the BDH well.

Trip to Hoover Dam

Posted Mar 28, 2015
Location: Hoover Dam just minutes away. Lake Meade Lake cruise, Las Vegas 33 minutes away. Cute little town
Loved the hotel. Our stay was very comfortable, the staff were very accommodating and helpful. Breakfast was delicious with many choices. Just a charming little gem with all the amenities.

Great little getaway

Posted Mar 22, 2015
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
Location: Hoover Dam, Las Vegas, Clark County Museum....lots of stuff to do.
We stayed at the Boulder Dam Hotel so that we could go to Hoover Dam. This is an historical hotel. The rooms were small but that is the way they made them back in the day. The bed was super comfortable. The room charge included free admission to their onsite museum which was well worth the time to see and also a cook to order breakfast. Breakfast was friendly and we received our food quickly and it was delicious! The historical district surrounding the hotel has lots of shops, restaurants and bars. They are friendly and welcoming. We can't wait to stay here again.

Very charming and historic hotel. Great staff.

Posted Mar 21, 2015
Pros: Pretty much everything. The place was very comfortable.
Cons: Chocolates on our pillows.
Location: The town had many charming antique stores. We ate dinner at a wine bar down the street from the hotel and the food was great. Tour Hoover Dam.
The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel and room was charming and comfortable. It was quiet. The in house museum was interesting. If told all about the building of the Hoover Dam. The breakfast that was included with the cost of the room was fresh made and very tasty.

Beautiful hotel,

Posted Mar 21, 2015
We had the best time. I went to check us in & the zipper on my purse broke, Sandy at the front desk gave me a pair of scissors so I could cut my purse open, then the next day she brought me a purse from home to use, who does that? She's a real gem.Everything was wonderful, nice people, great food. We will definitely be back.I would love to call boulder city my home in about 10 years after retirement.

Need to take flight out of Vegas. Try Boulder City

Posted Mar 15, 2015
Pros: It's charm, it's location, its friendliness and its breakfast. It's business area is well appointed as is it's dining area where we enjoyed breakfast.
Cons: Given it's an old restored hotel, so the footprint of the rooms can't be changed. Other than that I can't think of anything.
Location: Boulder City is one of the nicest small American towns one can visit.
Had a flight out of Vegas and decided instead of going into Vegas itself we'd stay in Boulder City which is the same 1/2 drive to the Airport as any Vegas hotel would be. The Boulder Dam Hotel is a great historic hotel in the middle of a charming small town. This is an old hotel but restored really well. Hence the rooms might be considered a little small by todays standards but keep in mind this is an historic hotel. It's situated on a street with multiple restaurants, a brewpub and antique stores. Our stay included a great cook to order hot breakfast in a really great dining room.
