Disappointing Experience at the Broomfield AloftPosted May 27, 2015
Pros: Clean, modern decor; pool table and games in the lobby area
We checked in on May 22 for a three-night stay. We were first located on the third floor in an accessible room. I asked the young woman at the check-in desk if a shower stool was available, and she was completely in the dark as to what I meant. I thought it was odd that an accessible room did not have a shower stool and even odder that the hotel clerk did not have any idea as to what I was asking about. We had had a long travel day and retired early. Unfortunately, the person or persons above us were pacing back and forth in what sounded like army boots. This lasted for several hours (well into the night), and none of the three of us got much sleep. I am normally somone who can sleep through anything, but this noise was so disturbing that I was awake for hours. We were able to change rooms for the next two nights and were located on the top floor. The noise level was greatly improved, however, we were not able to get an accessible room. I want to note that the staff was very genuine and seemed to be sincere in their efforts to resolve our discomfort. It's obvious the Aloft Hotel is geared toward a younger clientel, and I didn't feel like I fit in there (we're in our early 60's). Also, I want to mention that it would be nice to have a separate light switch in the bathroom for the toilet area -- as it is, one switch controls both the sink and toilet area. These bright lights are disturbing to other occupants of the room when turned on during the middle of the night.

I loved the chic styling of the room! It had everything I needed for my trip, including a refrigerator, blow dryer, shampoo/conditioner, and an iron.

Centrally located very nice hotelPosted May 11, 2015
Extremely pleased with the accommodations. Comfortable bed soft towels. Modern conveniences. Quiet and within easy driving distance to Boulder and from the Denver airport. Plenty of shopping an restaurants nearby. Great experience booking through Expedia. And it's a Starwood property so we got points for our stay. A nice bonus. Only negatives - no continental breakfast provided free and the drinks in the bar downstairs were overpriced and mediocre.

Loved the change from a traditional looking hotel to a more retro one. Swimming area isn't all that great, but the lounge and lobby are inviting and fun!

Very modern, chic, and clean!Posted Mar 23, 2015
Pros: The staff was friendly and kind, the Green program, and the cleanliness of the room (and the overall hotel decor).
Location: Would need a car to get around, but close to both Boulder and Denver.
The staff was very helpful and accommodating- they were also very friendly and patient! The room was SO nice, the bed was comfortable, and everything was very clean. I was also impressed with the complimentary bottle of water in the room and the mini fridge!

Don't stay there if you book through Expedia!Posted Mar 1, 2015
Upon arriving at the hotel, I was informed that they did not have my requested 2 queen bed room. They said they could accommodate with an air mattress for my kids in a king bed room. I had to call down to the front desk 3 times before the air mattress was brought up. Snacks from the snack bar were unbelievably overpriced! $11 for 2 sodas and a bag on M&Ms!

Close to home officePosted Feb 26, 2015
Cons: Lack of seating in room
Conveniently located with short travel to a myriad of good restaurants. Easy access thru suburbs and did not have to contend w/metro traffic during rush hrs.
