Perfect for visit to UC Boulder

Posted Oct 21, 2014
Great hotel, convenient, and close to UC Boulder. My only complaint is that the towels were older and thin. Compared to the bed linens--which were lovely, the towels were a big disappointment. Excellent value. Good breakfast and delicious latte in the lobby.

2 star standard

Posted Oct 18, 2014
Pros: Near to the my office location
Cons: Refresh carets and towels
OK for a one night stay. Carpets and towels long overdue for renewal. Restaurant OK for breakfast but don't expect to get more than sandwiches for dinner. Avoid booking this hotel through Expedia if you want to earn Marriott points. 3 star hotels like Hampton Inn and Marriott Residence Inn are significantly better as are other Courtyard hotels I've experienced.

Overpriced

Posted Oct 14, 2014
Pros: On the up side, everything was clean. They offer breakfast, cafe-style, and not included. It is priced high like an airport.
Cons: The smell of the room could be improved and the room and hallways are kept too warm for comfort
Location: It is close to RR tracks and when drinkers started talking in the courtyard or their balcony, we were woken and had to close our sliding door.
We were a party of 3 staying in a room with 2 queens. The main area was okay but the only sink, only closet and bath were cramped. Add using an iron board to the space and it was almost impossible to move around. The only full length mirror was on the inside of the closet and with the door open to use it, the sink and door to the bath were blocked. Not comfortable for three women getting dressed for a wedding.

Thank you for sharing your comments on Expedia. Your comments will help us improve our service. I am sorry you felt that the bathroom and closet areas were not large enough for three guests. Please feel free to let any of our staff members know of any concerns during your stay and we will do our best to rectify. I appreciate your business and we hope to have another opportunity to serve you again in the future. Kind Regards, Fred Warren General Manager Courtyard by Marriott Boulder

Average room

Posted Sep 6, 2014
Pros: Location. Boulder is a beautiful town with lots to do, this Hotel is located close to the Pearl street mall, Boulders downtown.
Cons: Rooms should be checked for smoke when cleaned, especially given the legalization of pot in Colorado. Decor is dated.
Location: Shopping at Pearl St, bike trails, and hiking trails abound.
While this was a non-smoking property, the room smelled of a funk. Perhaps the previous inhabitant had ignored the no smoking policy, and availed him self of the legalized pot in Colorado. In any case it was pretty clear that something had been smoked in the room. When I complained to the front desk, they were gracious enough to offer to change me rooms, but I had already dropped all of my stuff in the room and was ready to go and eat after a long day. You might ask what then do I expect, they offerred to correct the issue? What I expect is that when they cleaned the room, they should have noticed the state and recognized it was not ready for someone to sleep in that night. It should have been flagged as such and not assigned to me. Some attempt to clean the smell and air out the room should have been made and the former guest fined. When I complained, simply offering what I had paid for, a different clean room, was insufficient. Some attempt to compensate me for the trouble of having to drop my stuff in a smelly room and walk back to the front desk to complain before leaving for dinner should have been made. While I declined the offer, they should have insisted that I would not be allowed to sleep in the room and provided an alternative room, offered to move my luggage for me, and provided some compensation for the experience, an upgraded room a comped night, a free meal something, anything, beyond relying on my willingness to put up with an inferior product.

Comfortable newly remodeled hotel.

Posted Sep 5, 2014
Pros: Modern and clean
Cons: you could tell the remodel was a "retro-fit: the old building structure was simply "re-dressed". Nice and modern though, good colors inviting and clea
Location: closeer to where we wanted to be in Boulder.
Nice modern entry, newly remodeled rooms. Hotel was the best price close to Boulder proper.

Nice Clean Hotel

Location: Anything you would do while visiting Boulder.
Moving in our son at the CU. The hotel is slightly off the beaten path, but not too far and definitely close enough!
