molds on the bathtub rim

When I arrived, there were black molds on the bathtub rims. I left a note right next to it, requesting that to be cleaned. which they did. (I am thankful). The hallway was in the process of renovation to change from the tile to the carpet on the floor/wall joints. There was a roll of a carpet-siding let out on the hallway, some of the areas of the ceilings were left exposed. There were lot of athletically unpleasing areas. A check-in staff (male) was nice, but lacked in savvies of customer service: didn't tell me where the room was located/how to get there, and no "you are all set, enjoy the stay" kind of closure statement, so I was waiting for a while for him expecting more process. (I had to ask "are we done?") Staff in the morning will not make eye contacts/greet when people come to the breakfast area. (2 of them on different days). They just seem to be unhappy. (Friday AM staff was very approachable).

When we checked in the room smelled moldy and there was standing water under the heater/ac unit. My wife requested another room which they didn't have but the Manager said maintenance would be by to take care of it. Their solution was to throw a towel over the wet carpet and spray some room freshener. We were stuck like Chuck so we dealt with it. At 4:00 am evidently the heater kicked on because we were woken up by a burning smell. I honestly though the place was on fire. We noticed later on that Service Pro had dewatering equipment scattered throughout the place so evidently this building has water issues.

Smelled like smoke and no AC.

The hotel overall was not a bad stay. However the entire hotel smelled like smoke. I was with a group that had 3 rooms and the air conditioning units either didn't work or didn't turn on until 3am. Which meant right when the room would start to cool down from the window being open the AC would turn on. Unless you get a room for cheap here I would go somewhere else.

Pros: Nicely appointed room, lots of space.
Cons: Staff should be sure that there are no issues (noisy fans!) before allowing guests to stay.
The room was very nice. My initial reaction was one of pleasure....until the fan on the AC kept making noise thoughout the night. Since my stay was related to business, it was especially annoying because everytime the fan came on, I would awaken; so did not get the good night's sleep I was hoping for a long day of meetings. The hotel was full so there was not much I could do about it. Even with this experience, I would give it another go because the room was very nice.

Best value for the money

This was one of those weird bookings on Expedia where it was cheaper to get two beds than one king bed. My husband and I found the bed we shared very small at first, but luckily the night passed without any punches to the face. The thermostat was completely broken. Didn't notice the first night because of cool weather, but our third night it was definitely too warm and the incessant blinking of the broken thermostat made our sleeping masks necessary. The breakfast wasn't that great, bit ther The maid was amazing, he/she even organized our bathroom items. It was a detail that did not go unnoticed. We were not a fan of the breakfast, but the nearby Paul's coffee had great coffee, can't speak much for the food. Despite all of this, all hotels in the area were expensive, which made La Quinta a great value for the money. I slept well, not many problems with noise except for people in the hallway, and it was clean.

This is by far, one of your best La Quinta hotels. The location is excellent. We ran into several severe rain and hail storms while visiting and found everything we needed within the huge complex that this Inn is located. We never had to venture onto the main highway for food or personal needs. The outside area is gorgeous. Rolling green, well kept lawns everywhere you looked. We were there for 3 local dog shows and chose La Quinta as they are so dog friendly. We had to travel 20 min. to the show grounds as there was not a closer facility. It was never a problem. Being away from the show site gave us a quiet resting place and great mattress's for our tired backs. I would stay here anytime I am in the area. The only problem we ran into was a new person at the desk who used my debit card that Expedia has on hand, instead of the Visa I handed to him and asked him to use. It left my husband with very little funds in our personal account.They did move very fast to correct this.

Pros: The hotel is conveniently located off Hwy 36.
Cons: The hotel is getting a bit dated.
Location: Convenient if you have business in both Boulder and Denver as it is right off the connector highway.
I have stayed at this hotel many times. This was the first time that the floor was very noisy with loud voices going on past 3am. I don't understand why other guest are so rude!

Pros: Easy access to Boulder and nice size of room. Also enjoyed the complimentary breakfast.
Cons: Beds were a bit firmer than I like, but this is just a personal preference.
Location: Great location! Plenty of restaurants and stores around. Only a few miles away from Boulder.
This hotel was very nice, especially for the low cost of staying there.

Pros: Comfort and cleanliness
Cons: You could throw some bacon or breakfast meat on for the breakfast, but that's it.
Location: Convenient location to Boulder and the Northwest Denver area. Chuckie Cheese close by for the kids and Boondocks about 10 miles away on I-25.
Can't say enough good stuff about this LaQuinta. Great location and staff and accommodations! The price was excellent for this very spacious and comfy room! Breakfast was good, but some bacon would have been nice!
