“Avoid this hotel at all cost!”
The room had a "bad smell" coming from the drainage hole in the bathroom. It went away when we covered it with a dirty rubbish bin. The shower doors often became stuck. The reading lights were positioned opposite the bed and the floor mouldings where the floor meets the wall were broken. The venetian blinds were broken and were unable to be neither raised nor opened. The worse feature of the room was the small kitchenette which consisted of a fridge, a sink, a 2-hob electric top and a smoke extractor. There was no kettle, pots, spoons or even a toaster - isn't this what an apartment is supposed to have as a bare minimum? When we asked for a kettle, we were told that we may be able to "hire" one and were advised simply to purchase one at a local store. Now the service - the staff were mainly young girls who appeared disinterested in their work. Service was very slow at the outdoor restaurant though the food was acceptable. The worse incident occurred at breakfast on the final day when upon asking for some milk to have with my tea (no problem on the previous two mornings), I was informed that milk would be a separate charge. After speaking to the manager, he appeared to rebuke the waitress who in turn proffered some milk in a saucer, much like one would do for a cat! In summary, this is a hotel which has a management that encourages staff to behave poorly (non-smoking signs were always ignored) and without showing due care for their clients. Avoid this hotel at all cost!!
