Quiet NeighborhoodPosted Sep 1, 2013 on Hotels.com
Hosts were great to visit with. Bed and Shower comfortable. Breakfast was a little bland for a B&B but had enough rich tasting food while in the Cape. Overall good experience.

great entrance to Cape CodPosted Jul 23, 2013 on Hotels.com
Lovely B & B located just over the Bridge; great for walking along the Canal. Very friendly host. Allowed us, on a weekday night in July, to stay one night on our way further out the Cape. However, if you want protein for breakfast this is not the place. Cereal, scones, muffins, coffee, tea, juice in abundance but not a hard boiled egg or yogurt in sight.

Great antique filled B&BPosted Jul 21, 2013
Pros: Very comfortable accomodations, gracious host.
Cons: More choices for breakfast.
Location: Near the Cape Cod canal, Hyannis.
Very comfortable accomodations my only comment is the breakfast was quite limited. I would recommend more fresh fruit and perhaps some warm fresh pastries or muffins. Other than that a very gracious host. We would definetly return in the future.

Friendly HostsPosted Jul 11, 2013 on Hotels.com
While the hosts were extremely friendly and kind, we found the B&B to be inconveniently far from other things. This was especially the case with respect to finding meals. There's a lovely bike path nearby, but that's about it. The same breakfast was served on 3 consecutive days and it was not the typical eggs and bacon. There were scones and fruit and lots of coffee and tea. The owners went out of their way to make sure we had clear directions and accurate maps and they made the stay enjoyable.

Pros: nice balcony, wi-fi, and the host's attention to detail and friendliness.
Cons: Can't think of a thing.
Location: walk or ride the path along the canal, see the sights on the cape.
My husband and I had an excellent stay at The Holly House. Our host, Tom was friendly and helpful. The room had every amenity and was very comfortable and cozy. Tom's homemade scones were very tasty. We are already planning to come back. a nice place and a good value.

Not for us!Posted Dec 15, 2012
Cons: No ensuite bathroom
Finding this place wasn`t easy. The location was nice. Quiet suburb. Nice property but we wondered if we had arrived at the right place. No indication that this was a B&B. We then found it difficult to get any response to our knocking on the various doors and finally caught the owner`s attention by knocking on the window. The room was acceptable but cluttered. We were dismayed to find this was not ensuite although we had exclusive use of the house bathroom on the landing. Dressing gowns were provided. Breakfast was taken with the owner (whether you liked it or not) and it was disappointing. Best advice given over breakfast was to visit the nearby "The Lobster Trap" where good food can be had at very reasonable cost. This place may be ideal for many but it was far from our ideal B&B.

An unexpected joy.Posted Oct 12, 2012
Pros: The hosts, the character of the house and the brilliant location.
Cons: We did not have a least favourite thing.
Location: Beautiful, quite suburban avenue with lovely houses and a nearby canal.
This is a great place to stay. It is a house - full of character - which is located in idyllic surroundings. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by Tom and Rita - the congenial hosts. They are wonderful people and immediately create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. This is a real taste of America at its best - embodying all of the politeness and friendliness that you could wish for. It did not feel like arriving at a guest house - it felt like arriving at the home of old friends. And, in fact, by the time our stay was over - it did, indeed, feel like leaving old friends. In addition, the location provides an excellent base for exploring Cape Cod. The guest house is easy to find - giving an ideal opportunity to settle and familiarise oneself with the surroundings, before setting out to explore the delights of Cape Cod. However, wherever you visit, it is equally a delight to return to Tom and Rita's warm welcome. Breakfast is spent in their company and Rita home bakes many of the offerings on the very morning that they are served. In short, great place and great people. My advice - don't be afraid to indulge in conversation as, between them, I doubt that there are many subjects that one of them would not be able to cover. And - even if they don't know - they both personify that wonderful American trait of being genuinely interested in learning new things. Wholly recommended.

Pros: The hosts
Cons: None at all
Location: Countrified, by the ship canal.
So friendly and helpful, we stayed an extra night. Even offered to do our washing and wouldn't accept payment!

Perfect B&B for couples or familyPosted Aug 27, 2012
Pros: Setting, decor quality of food
Location: close to Canal (dividing Cape from mainland) and all major highways without hearing noise of these highways.
Historic adorned bed & breakfast(room reached by circular staircase). Room very spacious and clean-with private terrace and adjoining huge bathroom. Breakfast was SCONES(HOMEMADE & DIFFERENT FLAVORS EACH MORNING), bread & english muffins, fruit, cold cereal & juices(jams butter & cream cheese also on table). Perfect presentation each morning-no waiting for food to be placed. Close to routes 6, 6A and 28 & steamship parking lot for Martha's Vineyard.
