It is a very friendly, welcoming child friendly hotel. The breakfast and restaurant meal was tasty and fresh. It was a very busy weekend with the wheels festival. I was not aware of this at the time of booking but a cutesy call to inform me was very professional. Check out time was 11am. The hotel were extremely accommodating and supportive and let me leave my car in the car park until 3pm despite it being a very busy time for the hotel. Very personal and I will be back.

Dinner was pretty ordinary, I would not select it as a place to eat if it was not a bank holiday and everything was booked up.
the bed was really hard and uncomfortable in the West Wing.
breakfast croissants were as solid and hard as a scone; even M&S do better ones.
however the staff are pleasant enough.

Room was in need of updating but being provided with Molton Brown toiletries was wonderful. Stayed on for another four nights as I was attending a Conference and given another room which had been refurbished - brand new bathroom with bath and walk in shower and flat screen TV!
Unfortunately, chef had left and dinners were not what is expected of a 4 star hotel but the staff were so polite, apologetic and couldn't do enough for their guests. Charging £14 per night for car parking I thought was a little excessive but it was underground and secure.

Did enjoy my stay however the hotel is past it's best, pretty shabby overall. The staff were excellent in particular the restaurant manageress at breakfast. The position of the hotel is excellent. I would reccomend the hotel to others as the stay was pleasant . The hotel could do with a major revamp but plenty of character much better than impersonal experience recently at travel lodge/premier inn/holiday inn

Lovely staff, good parking, very clean, next to the beach and gardens, centrally located. My only criticism would be the bedroom and bathroom - clean but out of date. Shower head over bath was fixed at about 5' 9" which means you have to squat slightly. The single beds were normal size, normally you expect giant size singles in hotels.

I love this hotel, but unfortunately this year I had a few issues with my room, which was on the ground floor with only a glazed door and no window to open. There was also a rusty derelict car outside my room, so not a reasonable acceptable view either.

Positive stay as never used Hampton / Hilton brand. The hotel was so 'new' even had new carpet smell - which was nice. Car parking wonderful on site a bonus, although the spaces were tight. Colour scheme and design of reception, bar, snack and breakfast area was relaxing. The art on the walls very appropriate scenes from Bournemouth. Would be nice to know which artist / where to buy smaller versions or postcards in similar style? Staff helpful and attentive. Initial check in queue slight wait but staff were being very helpful to other clients. Rooms spacious - we had twin room which was actually two queens sized beds! Bathroom shower fine but shower head seemed to heavy for pole which did not hold the weight in the preferred position. Only one door hook so limited spaces in the bathroom to hang up a wet towel.

Voted “the happiest place in the UK” in a 2007 poll, Bournemouth is a rapidly growing coastal resort town, with 11 km of sandy beaches. A vibrant town center, picturesque gardens, and sightseeing cruises from Bournemouth Pier add to its appeal. Robert Louis Stevenson wrote The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde here, and the town figures prominently in many of Thomas Hardy’s classic novels.
