Good, but not great

Posted Nov 1, 2014
Pros: Reasonably priced.
Cons: Older hotel with average rooms. Could use an update. Breakfast was OK.
Location: A little further from WKU than I would of liked. But convenient to I-65 and plenty of choices for lunch and dinner.
Stayed here because Marriott properties were booked. It was clean, and reasonably priced. Ok as an alternative to Marriott or Hilton hotels which are my first choices.

It was clean!

The place was nice, clean room and clean bathroom. Only thing I didn't like was the mattress was awful and the sheets keep popping off. I made the bed my self 4 times. Totally annoying!

Really clean and comfortable

If you want to be close to downtown (free shuttle or late night $5 cab fare) or are going to a Titans game a few blocks away, this is a great option. The neighborhood is industrial and nothing to walk around, except the stadium. However, it's a well cared for property. Although I didn't like the hallways and bar decor (too dark), the room was very nice, extremely clean, and really comfortable bed/pillows (my #1 priority). Front desk staff and bar staff were very friendly. I wold definitely stay here again.

Good bargain compared to nearby choices.

Clarion was a good bargain compared to other nearby choices. Room was clean and in good condition. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast typical. No fridge, no microwave, no indoor pool, and double beds rather than queens, but a perfectly comfortable stay for one night. I would recommend this place if you are looking to saveca few bucks.

I booked the room through hotels.com, it was supposed to be handicap accessible but when I got there to check in the room was booked as a standard room. The receptionist was super nice and worked to get me into an accessible room so that I wouldn't have to find another hotel. I was very happy and appreciative of all they did.

Worth the stay

Posted Sep 23, 2014
Pros: Sizeable room and cleanliness.
Location: It's right off I65. Next door to Ryan's and 2 doors down from Cracker Barrell. It's on Scottsville Rd., which is the shopping/ eating 'mecca' of BG.
Obviouslly, not a 5 star hotel. But, if your budget(like mine) in set for a nice overnight stay at an affordable price, this Clarion is a great choice. It was clean, inside and out. Room, great size. It's is near several eating and shopping venues. Would definitely stay again.
