Needs an upgrade

Posted Jun 16, 2014
Cons: everything
Location: location was good
We had asked for a Non-smoking room. We were given a Smoking room, and obviously it was also a Pet room. The carpet and furniture was filthy with burn holes with some unknown black stuff on it. My wife sat in a chair and stood up with pet hair all over the back of her clothes. I told the Manager that I had reserved a Non- smoking room, and showed him on the reservation sheet. He said that was a mistake, he didn't have a non-smoking room available and couldn't change our room. Because of an event in town there were no other motels in the area with rooms available. I am sure this room was saved for the people who book through you to get a discount.

Convenient and reasonable.

Pros: Available for the dates we needed.
Cons: They need to do some painting and carpet replacing in the rooms.
Location: Great!
The breakfast was the worst that I had ever experienced.

Raggedy Hotel

Posted May 28, 2014
I was tired from driving long hours. I check-in in the middle of the night just to rest. The room was in poor condition and there is no elevator in the building. The bed was old and not very comfortable. This hotel is across the street from the National Corvette Museum. I expected a lot more.

I was very skeptical, but then pleasantly surprise

Posted May 9, 2014
Pros: Everything was new wo any smoke or other ordors.
Cons: The TV & cable worked well, but I was a bit confused on how to turn it on.
Location: Across the street from the Corvette Museum & another antique car museum. Less than 1 mile from the Corvette plant.
I thought for $45 I would regret staying here but it's location to Corvette &'convenience to the Interstate was exactly what I was looking for. And at $45 w continental breakfast, it definitely fit within my budget. The Lobby, my room & all furniture was in brand new condition. I was very surprised & will stay there again. BTW; The Corvette plant tour is well worth $7. I do recommend reservations for both.

Great location, just not great

Posted Nov 2, 2013
Pros: Proximity to Corvette assembly plant and Museum
Cons: Interior design decoration
This is a great hotel location if you are travelling to visit the Corvette Museum or Bowling Green Assembly plant. Unfortunately, that is all it is. The hotel itself is old and average in maintenance. The rooms are clean but small. I was disappointed with the styling of the hotel rooms. Everything was inconsistent. Green carpet, maroon drapes, yellow walls. Despite the low cost of the hotel, I have just come to expect a higher standard when I stay somewhere. It was not an awful hotel, but I have to rate my stay as awful due to the close proximity to the interstate. From my back window to the interstate was probably 100 yards. I heards semis "Jake braking" all night. Not a good rest. So, if you want a cheap hotel close to the Museum, and you are a solid sleeper with low expectations... this is your place. Otherwise, stay up the road a little.

Strong cooking odor

Posted Aug 26, 2013
The building is okay. There is a strong odor of food in the hallways (onion, garlic, spices) as well as old cigarette odor. The air conditioner in our room, 103, was not working properly to keep the room cool at night. the wifi worked with moderate strength in the lobby but not in our room.
