“Clean, lots of nearby restaurants”

We went to Mammoth Caves and were looking for an alternative to staying in Horse Cave - from the web, it seemed like dining and entertainment options there were quite limited. I had also read that Horse Cave was not the safest place. Bowling Green was about 30 miles away from the park, whereas Horse Cave was 18 miles. The Courtyard was located in a cluster of other similar hotels and was in an area with lots and lots of restaurants. The abundance of hotels was good for competition and nearly all of them had rates that were close. The room was very clean and comfortable. The bed, in particular, I felt was comfortable. We had a king bed and it also came with a sofa bed so you could easily sleep 2 adults and 2 kids.

“The Courtyard in Bowling Green kentucky is just about perfect.”

The hotel was in a great location. The hotel was just about perfect in every way, including the free breakfast. The Service was great and I felt very relaxed and comfortable at this hotel. I will be returning to Bowling Green Kentucky next year and I will be staying once again at this great hotel.

“Glad we stayed here, would go back.”

Lots of choices in the area but the price was right and the chain name being solid sealed the deal. We weren't sorry. The girls at the front desk were charming and efficient. They gave us excellent advice on a local restaurant '440 Main' and we could not have been happier with it, and it gave us an opportunity to see another area of town we would have otherwise missed. The hotel was as clean or cleaner than 5* hotels I've stayed at (Westin, Fairmount) and for the price and level, this hotel exceeded what I expected. The only negative for us was the breakfast. Maybe I expected more being the 'Marriott' name, but the quality of the food was horrible and the set up was amateur in the mistakes they made. If they want to contain costs by not have waste, then cut down on how many things they offer and increase the quality. Unless you like waffle batter that has the taste/consistency of paste and inedible. The boxed cereal however was quite good!

“Lesson Learned”

I specifically selected Courtyard by Marriott because of its high standards. Unfortunately, my recent stay was less than perfect. The reservation was for Christmas Eve, so there were more than enough rooms available. However, the one that I was assigned happened to be located next to the restroom, the laundry room, and the ice machine. Due to intermittent usage of all 3 throughout the course of the night, I slept very little. Aside from these, I was satisfied with the service (as always).

“Average Hotel”

I found my stay at this Marriott to be OK but not outstanding. The bed was confortable and the room was quiet but there were spots throughout the hotel were you could see it needs some maintenance. The morning breakfast was sufficent but not great. If you have time in the morning, I would suggest skipping it and going to one of the local restaurants in the area.

“Stayed at better in Bowling Green”

The room charge was a bit high for the service and amenities it included. The breakfast was not complimentary and certainly not worth the fee charged. During the time of our stay, the hotel was filled to capacity and not properly staffed to accomodate the volume of people. One good note, the new beds were quite comfortable.
