One notch up from sleeping in your car.

Posted Jul 7, 2015
Pros: Price, location to restaurants and entertainment
Cons: Reserve a non smoking wing of the building not just non smoking rooms. New mattresses and plumper pillows.
Location: Mammoth cave, Mammoth Cave Adventures, Mammoth Cave Kayaking, Dinosaur World, Kentucky Action Park, so much more along with gift shops.
We didn't book a fancy motel because we knew we were planning to have a lot of out door activities and really only needed a place to lay our head and shower. Unfortunately the bed was most uncomfortable. The room was very small not allowing ample space for our luggage. The people in the room next to ours had children that would run back an forth in front of the window. Well, there was no play ground so that was to be expected. But the parents also smoked, so every time we opened our door we breathed in their smoke. But it was a cheep place to lay our heads. And for that alone I would recommend it to anyone who was looking for a cheap place to stay. It was close to entertainment, had ample restaurants and their pool, though crowded was nice. We did take advantage of that. And their Continental breakfast was acceptable.

Flea bag hotel

Posted Jul 6, 2015
Pros: Location to Mammoth Cave The pool was refreshing
Cons: Please get a better cleaning service, fix the wall paper replace with sponge painting. Get better beds and pillows!
Location: Close to restraints, mammoth cave, Kentucky Down Under, zip lines and other kid friendly activities and Corvette factory and museum.
The staff personnel were very pleasant. The hotel rooms had wallpaper literally falling off the walls and filled with fruit flies by the end of our 4 night stay! The pillows were two pieces of cloth sewn together and the beds were lumpy and uncomfortable. Considering the above the bathroom was very clean. The pool was very refreshing and the kids loved playing in it but it did get pretty buggy and dirty quickly. A phrase that would apply is, you get what you pay for: low rate= flea bag hotel! A positive was that the location was excellent.

Bad area, run down hotel

Posted Jun 30, 2015
We weren't happy. Wallpaper and paint peeling. Not very clean. Tried to cancel 2nd night and they refused. Blamed expedia for not being able to cancel and I even had expedia call and they still refused. We left anyways.

Paid way too much for such an outdated room.

Posted Jun 9, 2015
Tiles and grout were dirty and falling through around the shower knobs. Ceiling was peeling. Stale musty smell. Room was hot HOT! Beds had clean linens. Top covers had stains on them though. It wasn't worth the $107 I spent for 1 night stay. I would only pay $40 a night to stay at a place like this. Wasn't horrible but definitely not worth the money.

Stayed 2 nights while visiting local sites

Posted Jun 6, 2015
Pros: Breakfast in lobby was good. Kids liked waffle maker
Cons: Bathrooms really need to be updated and cleaned
Location: Near Mammoth Cave and Ky Action Park
Checked in was quick and easy. Before unloading checked out room. Mold in Bathroom. Went to front desk and we were moved to room next door. Tub not the cleanest and grout missing from tile. No towels in room. Went back to front desk to get towels. Went to get showers and no hot water. Only way to take a warm shower was to only turn on hot faucet and then there was no water pressure. Took a vote and decided to rough it rather than change hotels, Next day came back to 3 towels for room with 1 adult and 3 children. Had to ask for more towels. Pool was nice but baby pool was all messed up with no water. Won't stay there again.

For the most part it was good. We left after a 2 day stay and someone had slashed our tire valve... May want to look into some outdoor security.

Close to attractions, but not the place to stay!

Posted Apr 15, 2015
Pros: Not a thing
Location: The location is great! Near the caves and other attractions. It also has a few restaurants across the street.
I won't try typing all this again, since they ask I re-do it, but here is the long and short of it. The hotel tried putting me in a smoking room. I didn't ask for a smoking room! They wouldn't give me a nonsmoking room until I told them we would take a room with only a king size bed. Even though my family wouldn't fit. All of a sudden they had a nonsmoking room with two queen beds! The room was terrible. The wall was falling down, the paint on the ceiling had big bubbles, there were dead bugs on the floor, the toilet seat was dirty, and the bathtub didn't drain. I suggest you pay a bit more and go some place nice!

Not the best.....But

Posted Apr 13, 2015
Pros: Clean rooms and inexpensive
Cons: Put more than just enough towels in the room.
I didn't pay a lot and didn't expect a lot. The room was clean and the beds just fine. However the hotel staff could not keep the simple continental breakfast stocked. When asking for extra towels I was told to call in the morning. No one was available. I only wanted one.

Good location but budget hotel

Posted Apr 8, 2015
Pros: close proximity to Mammoth Cave National Park
Cons: bathroom remodel and cleaning and add fruit and yogurt to the continental breakfast
Location: Mammoth Cave, hiking, other caves, National Corvette museum
Good location. Pretty good room but the bathroom badly needs an update. It looked dirty and had very poor workmanship. The first night we had very noisy neighbors. Had to call the front desk to complain. The continental breakfast was not much: coffee, juice, cereal, donuts, bagels, waffles. No fruit or yogurt.

You get what you pay for. Allergies worsened!

Posted Apr 5, 2015
Pros: Breakfast was nice.
Cons: Clean the carpets to get ride of mold (unseen but felt).
Location: Mammoth Cave, ziplining.
Looked clean, until you were there for an hour, then everyone started sneezing off and on all through the night. Stuffy heads in the morning. Breakfast was nice though. You get what you pay for.
