Remodeling

Posted May 8, 2014
The staff was super friendly. You could tell that the hotel was undergoing remodeling from the lack of carpet in the hallways. The room was a little outdated and the Jacuzzi tub didn't work, but the room was very clean. All in all I would definitely stay here again and I would recommend it to a friend.

Okay, but not the best

Posted Apr 13, 2014 on Hotels.com
I worried about staying here after reading the most recent reviews. But we found it to be clean & comfortable enough, the breakfast what we expected, and the staff mostly fine. The young man at the desk called after we arrived to make sure room was acceptable & we had everything we needed. I have never experienced that before & it was a nice gesture. What was awful: 1. Air conditioner made an awful noise. The fan and heater didn't--just the AC. After a bit, it would start Bzzd bzzd bzzd. Only shutting it off stopped it. It was not very warm outside, so we were mostly okay sleeping w/AC off. Had we stayed another nite, I would have complained. 2. The freeway noise is horrendous.. We had an even-numbered room--ask for an odd-numbered one 3. The corners of the hallways were dirty, like they vacuumed, but did not bother to get the corners. 4. The management would not refund $20 even though I'd found a coupon in a nearby town for less than what I paid. They claimed it was because I had prepaid and "hotels.com is non-refundable." The young man at the desk apologized several times, but the woman (manager?) didn't & wouldn't look at me. 5. Not far down the road is an "adult" store. This may not bother some people, and you don't drive by it to get to the hotel, but it made me sick. The sign is huge, visible from both freeway and hotel. I would not have stayed here had I known about it. I suggest you check the hotels in Cave City.
