There was a problem getting hot water to the room. Also there was a jacuzzi tub in the room, but the jets didn't work. But the most disappointing thing was we were there for two nights and we didn't get maid service after the first night. So that meant no clean towels for the second night. The breakfast was decent though.

Staff was friendly. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Pretty quiet for being close to the freeway. Breakfast was good.

Clean but not above expectations

Posted Jul 30, 2014
I registered 5 people. Why didn't the hotel offer me a roll away bed when I booked? My son had to sleep on the floor since there were no more roll aways & the cushions didn't come out. Not impressed!

Friendly Staff

Posted Jul 28, 2014
Location: We were traveling to Mammoth Cave.
The staff were very friendly and greeted us with a smile. Each time we would pass a staff member on the way to the pool, going to breakfast or just asking housekeeping for extra towels, they would smile and make sure we were enjoying our stay. I would recommend this hotel.

Older hotel with cleaning issues....

Posted Jul 19, 2014
Pros: The staff was great! Exercise room was very good too.
Cons: Overall appearance needs help; issues with cleaning. Chlorine in pool was a bit too strong.
Location: Mammoth Cave and all the activities built around it.
Staff was very friendly, no issues there and thank you. But, our room was not that clean. There was dirty towels left underneath the sink and the floor needed sweeping.

Good hotel, but not close to town.

Posted Jul 17, 2014
The hotel was clean, breakfast was good, and staff was friendly. There are no laundry facilities or ATM machine on site. The hotel is right off the interstate, but far away from everything else. The nearest restataunts are in Cave City and there are other hotels closer to them.

Overall recommend

Pros: Clean room, sheets.
Cons: Have a pitcher of water available all day in the lobby! Coffee is good but sometimes water is what I want on a hot day.
Location: Mammoth Cave
We have kids and thus the buffet breakfast is what draws us to Hampton. I have to say that both days we were there they kept running out of the hot food. Somewhat disappointing but keep in mind it was the 4th of July weekend. So, maybe somewhat expected. Also, a little disappointing how the garbage containers outside the hotel were pouring over both days we were there. Just a sore eye if you know what I mean.

Don't use address on internet to find!

Posted Jun 23, 2014
Pros: Bed soft, room spacious
Cons: address to hotel & more supportive staff
Location: Mammoth Cave
Address on the internet will lead you to the middle of Mammoth Cave in KY. We tried to find the hotel for 30 minutes at midnight with no luck. Eventually called the hotel and was told there is something wrong with the internet address and was given a completely different address to enter into GPS. When arrived at hotel, a different person than who helped us on the phone was rude and non supportive of wanting to get this situation addressed. She told me i could email Hampton Inn but never offered to forward the request to look into the hotel address or offered for the manager to speak with me. Next morning when leaving I asked about the Club bags offered to those reward members since all other Hamptons offer them and was told 'they were all out' ....of what??? brown baggies??? Terrible experience, won't return.

Was nice over all

Posted Jun 17, 2014
Pros: The comfy beds
Cons: Cosmetic touch ups to frayed edges of carpets, paint touch ups in rooms. Better hot water pressure. Little better cleaning of the rooms.
Location: There's not much on this exit near by, just a Luvs truck stop, with a mcdonalds and subway inside. About 20 minute drive to mammoth cave national park
This Hampton inn was nice, but could use some touch ups. The hot water pressure was low and would sometimes almost stop at times. Almost all the carpet edging by the guest room doors was all frayed. The walls in our guest room could use some touch up paint. The hotel room was clean, but not the greatest. Little things like a long hair black hair in the tub and floor and towels not folded neatly, not a hugs deal, but for a room of this price you expect more, at least I do. I thought all the rooms came with a fridge and microwave, but that's a special request I was told by the staff. They only have so many to go around, so the first night I didn't get one. We brought stuff we needed to put in there, so some food of ours was wasted. The beds were comfy and they leave a post it on your head board letting you know your sheets and comforter is clean. The hotel staff were nice. The breakfast was fine, had a nice lobby area to eat in. By the way your GPS can throw you off 10 miles or so when you put the address in of this hotel. Check your old reliable road map, this hotel is right off the highway.

Pros: Quiet, great breakfast, easy access to the highway, safe
Cons: Some little details in the d├ęcor as in the frayed edges around the carpet.
Location: Short distance to Mammoth Cave.
Had a very enjoyable stay. The staff was very helpful and the breakfast was great. It is out of the hustle and bustle of traffic and distraction. Very quiet even thou right by the highway. Would definitely stay there again.
