I was very impressed with the experience I had at the Holiday Inn - University Plaza. Excellent service and a wonderful atmosphere. If I stay in Bowling Green in the future...I will most certainly stay at the University Plaza.

We were in Kentucky for several days to attend a funeral, and visit in-laws, not for vacation. We chose this motel, based on the low price, and just hoped the room would be fairly decent. We were VERY pleasantly surprised. The staff was warm and friendly. Our room was roomy and exceptionally clean, furnished with table and chairs, a couch and coffee table. My wife says the bed was the most comfortable she has slept in, including $200+/night hotels. There was a full-size ironing board and iron. The kitchenette had a full-size fridge, 2 burner stove, m/w, coffee maker, and a good selection of utensils, silverware, stainless steel cookware, and ceramic dinnerware. The heater worked well. It was located across the street from a Ryan's Buffet, and a short drive from lots of restaurants and stores. Apparently, they cater to people who need to stay for weeks or months, on business. I can imagine it being very comfortable and efficient for a long term stay. Honestly, if we had paid more than double the price, we still would have felt we received an excellent value. When we come back to the area, we won't even bother to "shop around". I should mention that, to help keep the price low, they don't provide daily maid service - the maid comes every few days. If you need extra towels or linens, in between, you can request them. I've found this is typical of motels that include efficiency kitchenettes and weekly or monthly rates, as well as daily rates.

The whole hotel experience was top notch It couldn't have been any easier.I enjoyed my stay there The breakfast was good, not your typical continental breakfast, I.m talking eggs,bacon,toast,sausage gravy & biscuits,pastry,juice, It was Good.

Very pleased with the hotel. Way more than I expected for the price. Very clean, lots of room, fully equipped kitchen. Would be perfect for someone in town for extended business or vacation. Would DEFINATELY recommend and use it again.

On Wednesdays this hotel puts a hot evening meal on for their guest at no charge. The rooms with kitchens have utensil & plates. There are gas barbecues provided undercover & a smokers seating area is also provided with ashtrays. Our double queen room was spacious with comfortable beds. 4 pillows per bed. All you can eat RYAN'S is a short stroll across the road. Cheap meals & very clean they even have steak cooked like Aussi's like it. Perfect place to stay if you want to see Kentucky's limestone Caves Mammoth & Diamond plus the lost river caves Don't forget AAA or NRMA card
