Disgusting Smoky rooms

Posted Apr 15, 2014
Pros: Leaving
We booked a non smoking room.when we checked in the stench of smoke and perfumed deodorizing spray overtook the room. Our 8 year old said the room smelled so and he wanted to sleep in the car. Hotel was a dump. Don't stay here

Nice Hotel - Will Stay Again

Posted Apr 7, 2014
Pros: Clean rooms. A lot of space in the room.
Cons: The hotel felt a little dated. No elevator - we had 1 person on crutches. Could not switch to 1st floor room.
Location: Was in town for WKU orientation so did not spend a lot of time exploring area.
Not too many bells and whistle but very clean, the staff was extremely nice. Breakfast was decent - everything was fresh and the attendant made sure everyone had everything they needed.

Great hotel for the price!

Posted Mar 14, 2014
Pros: Cleanliness, friendliness, and easy access to adjoining restaurant that served great food in huge portions.
Location: Right off the highway, easy on, easy off. We were on our way to Georgia, so we did not do any sight-seeing.
The staff's friendliness makes this a hotel we hated to leave!

Decent for the price

Posted Feb 10, 2014
Pros: The price and the pillows were nice.
Cons: Everything. New towels, updated card readers on the room doors and get away from physical keys for the exterior doors leading in from the parking lot
Location: Location was great but Bowling Green is very small so everything is in close proximity.
Stayed a single night at the Ramada during the Lone Star Rodeo in Bowling Green, KY. They give you a keycard to your room that you have to swipe at least 10 times to get in the room door. They also give you a physical key to get in any of the exterior doors other than the main lobby. Carrying around a physical key and keeping track of it is a pain. The room was smoke free but smelled of smoke. The tile grout was black and moldy. The towels were very thin, scratchy and had never seen fabric softener. Two of the exact pieces of wall art were in the room. Exact same image. The TV remote would barely work and the picture on the TV was horrible. The heater was manual and very loud. The room was freezing when I first got to the room.

Old Hotel in need of some renovations

Posted Jan 27, 2014
For what we needed the hotel for, a place to sleep, it was fine. Rooms are dated. Our bed frame was 2X4s with a metal head board. Breakfast was good and the lady in the breakfast room was hilarious and extremely helpful. Definitely the best part of our stay. Woman at the front desk seemed cranky and that we were bothering her when we went to check out. If you're not looking for anything special and just need a place to rest your eyes, this isn't a bad place. Bonus here was they had truck and trailer parking and the restaurant in the hotel was a pleasant surprise.
