We stayed twicePosted Dec 14, 2014
We stayed the night before we went into Yellowstone park and the night we came back. Lovely staff. Better than average breakfast. Definitely the indoor garage was a plus.

Best deal in Livingston!!Posted Dec 13, 2014
Friendly prompt accessible staff, comfy clean beds and rooms, heated indoor pool area rocked and the free breakfast had eggs sausage waffles as well as your standard continental breakfast items!! The indoor gated garage was also very cool!!

excellent for the pricePosted Nov 17, 2014
For the price the accommodations were amazing! It's an older hotel but it was clean and had everything we needed and more. Beautiful views of the Rockies, heated indoor pool, heated garage parking, a bar and restaurant and free wifi. The only negative thing I have to say is at the restaurant we were offered the steak special and it was okay but we found out they were $18 a plate when we got the check. Don't forget to ask the price on the specials :) :)

It was a very pleasant stay. Room was comfortable, price was good and the breakfast had a great variety. We would stay again.

Affordable Motel close to Yellowstone ParkPosted Oct 11, 2014
Pros: Reasonable cost and excellent staff.
Cons: Power and computer access very limited, dated room decor and facilities.
Location: Right off I 90 and rt. 89, used to enter Yellowstone Park. Chico and Sulfur Hot Springs close. Fish Yellowstone River. Enjoy vistas, raptors, animals.
Very enjoyable facility with large, indoor pool, pool tables, WiFi access, good hot breakfast provided, and helpful, pleasant staff. The rooms are dated, with very limited number of power outlets. Included small microwave and refrigerator. Clean and comfortable for the price.

probably wouldn't stay here againPosted Sep 30, 2014 on Hotels.com
First of all, this is no longer a Best Western. It is under new management, has a new name and the sign was a tarp placed over the original one, which we couldn't see in the dark. Our room was filthy. The carpet had not been vacuumed. There was a long, black hair in one of the beds. I do have to say the breakfast was very good and the pool looked great, although we didn't use it. Hopefully this place will improve. There were rolls of new carpet in the parking garage and you could tell they were in the middle of painting.

SurprisePosted Sep 26, 2014
Pros: Location in Livingston, MT
We were surprised upon arrival to find that this is no longer a Best Western Hotel. It was taken over by a local entity approximately 1 month ago. This group is still learning the ropes. One room had no hot water.

Name changePosted Sep 26, 2014
This is no longer a Best Western hotel. It is called Yellowstone Pioneer Lodge. Expedia did not inform us of this change prior to check in, eventhough the change was a month before booking.

DisappointingPosted Sep 21, 2014
Location: We wanted to stay at the Best Western in Gardnier, Mont., but they were full. We wanted to be near Yellowstone National Park.
It was a total fraud. The web site we checked and the sign at the motel both said Best Western. After we checked in we were told they were no longer a Best Western but Yellowstone Pioneer Lodge. So, we not only didn't gain any reward points for our four nights we stayed in a motel that wasn't as nice as we thought it would be. We stayed there two years ago and had a much nicer room, maybe because it was on the other side of the motel. I don't know. When you walk in the lobby is nice, but then you get upstairs and it's rather tacky in the hallways. The breakfasts were not that exciting. We stayed at the Best Western in Missoula, Mont., the night before and there is absolutely no comparison between the two.

Good older motel. Well maintained. Good location.Posted Sep 5, 2014 on Hotels.com
Motel is no longer a Best Western. It has gone independent. You need to track what this means for the motel and the service. Too early to tell now.
