Boston sightseeing

Pros: Room amenities and location
Cons: elevator and hallway can use a touch up
Location: Mall, local towns nearby with lake.
Great place to stay as close to mall and lots of food options. Would recommend leaving early or carpool if possible as traffic can be terrible on 93 heading into downtown Boston. We would definitely come back.

Überbucht/Viel Ärger/ungerechtfertigte Abbuchung

Cons: rechtzeitigen Benachrichtigung von Überbuchungen! Einhaltung von Absprachen (zB Kostenübernahme in anderen Hotels)
Location: Braintree
Ich habe 2 Zimmer im Hotel Candlewood Suites Boston-Braintree bereits im September 2014 gebucht UND AUCH BEZAHLT, damit ich am Beginn unserer Rundreise gleich eine feste Adresse habe. Am 16. März 2015 angekommen, wurde seitens der Rezeptionistin mitgeteilt, dass das Hotel ausgebucht sei (komisch, man hatte 6 Monate Zeit uns das mitzuteilen und am Anreisetag fällt das dem Hotel erst ein). Man Könne aber in der selben Straße im Holiday Inn Express kostenlos einchecken, da wir ja schon bezahlt haben. Dort angekommen wussten die beiden Damen überhaupt nichts. Nach ca. 15 - 30 Minuten konnten wir doch einchecken. Wie üblich wurde meine Kreditkarte aus Kautionsgründen eingelesen und es wurde auch seitens des Hotels immer wieder betont, es sei alles bereits bezahlt. Bei der Abreise vergewisserte ich mich nochmals, und es wurde erneut versichert, dass meine Kreditkarte nicht bezahlt wurde. Nach unserer Rundreise in Deutschland angekommen, sehe ich auf die Kreditkarte. Entgegen der Behauptungen wurden mir 440 Euro abgebucht. Nach etlichen Mails mit beiden Hotels wurde die Zahlung doch noch storniert, allerdings blieb ich auf ca. 20 Euro Umrechnungskursschwankungen sitzen.

The room is very convenient and would certainly recommend other to stay, but if you are going to visit BOSTON. This will not be recommendable, as the traffic is very tight morning and night. Hence try to book a hotel at BOSTON itself.

Not what I expected.

Pros: The personnel were nice and helpful. The room was clean.
Cons: Better beds, nicer bathrooms and a continental breakfast could be offered to compete with the Hampton Inn and Holiday Inn Express which are near by.
Location: It is located near the South Shore Mall, many restaurants and a multi-cinema.
The room we were given was a handicapped room, which we did not request. It was not what I would consider a suite. We did not have a king size bed as advertised.

A hidden gem

Pros: large bed
Cons: more TV channels
Location: travel into Boston
I have stayed here often. They have a good TV, large beds and a kitchenette. Good sized bath room too.

Hotel was modern and clean. We arrived late and couldn't find parking. Some spots still had snow piles in them which was a problem but with the winter that Boston had this year I couldn't be too upset.

Pros: Location and comfrotable
Cons: TV closer to bed
Bed is comfortable, TV is a bit too far from bed, but room is overall decent.

They didn't try and make it up to us or anything. Just simply turned us away

Full size refrigerator, microwave,2 burner stove, plates,cups,glasses, you name it. Saved a mint of money cooking in the room. Staff very nice. Prices excellent

I reserved a king room ended up with a full. Called the front desk they told me they don't have king beds only queens. This bed was definitely a full I have a queen at home...nowhere close!
