“free sock?”

I walked into my room to find a single black sock half turned inside out sitting on top of the dresser right next to the tv. All of the clocks weren't changed for daylight savings and there was a light bulb out. The room had a recliner chair in the corner that looked stained and dirty. Linens looked clean and fresh, the kitchenette area and bathroom counters were clean.

“"Good convenient value"”

I rarely take the time to post a review, but I thought the staff at Extended Stay America Boston-Braintree were very polite and helpful. The room was clean and tidy, and it was a convenient restful stay. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a good, convenient value. It's nice to run the Blue Hills trails too, if you're looking for some exercise. Very convenient to shopping, coffee, all that.

“Forget the amenities”

We selected this hotel because it was not all that inexpensive, but having been used to continental breakfasts, newspapers, housekeeping daily, we were not all that impressed. It is a place to rest your head and that's it. Even knowing there was no housekeeping, when we were to receive it there was very little. No vacuuming, toilet cleaning and new towels. On the plus side, when trying to locate this hotel we got lost so called to get directions. The individual who gave us specific directions did an outstanding job. I believe it was one of the housekeepers who lived in the area. The hotel was most convenient to a large shopping mall, major highways that were well marked, and there were several places in the neighborhood that provided food. We did receive directions to a grocery store and had our own breakfast in the room.

Area recommendations

We have relatives in south Boston and have stayed at the Ramada Boston and Comfort Inn Boston. Both of these places are close to our relatives and offer the amenities that we enjoy. These hotels are off the major interstate so easy to get off and on and around into Boston or off to the Cape. I've noted other hotels in the northern part of Boston or central Boston and they are more expensive than what I want to pay.

When to go

Having gone to Boston several times to visit our relatives we found that the best time is during the off season for tourists. Hotel accommodations are much cheaper and fewer tourists to compete for space in the major and minor attractions. These times would be April thru first of June then September thru the end of October. WE have been there during the Christmas season, but you take your chances of getting in and out of Boston depending upon the cold weather.

“Too noisy”

This is a very convenient hotel, but the noise level between rooms is a bit much. The walls must be paper thin with no insulation. The person on the floor above me seems to walk around the room for hours. I could plainly hear the converstion in the room next to mine. The beds are very hard and pillows. I wouldn't stay again.

“Nice for the price”

The hotel was easy to get to and was in a good area. Lots of shopping nearby, but I couldn't find a grocery store, which would have been optimal since we had a kitchenette in the hotel. The room was large, the kitchenette was nice, and the bathroom was good-sized. My only complaint is that the beds were not very comfortable and the pillows were practically non-existent. The showers was amazing, though. I would definitely stay here again.

“Very Impressed”

“Nice very clean place, staff helpful and friendly!!!!!”

The only draw back is we needed to travel into Boston and we had to catch the bus to the subway, it was easy but it took about 1 hour to get to Brookline/Danner Farber. After 7-8 pm the bus only runs hourly so if doing this watch your times closely. Very clean, safe feeling and helpful staff, could have used a couple more pillows, so take your own if you like alot of pillows. Kitchen well supplied.
