Overnight stayPosted Sep 19, 2014
Pros: Its convenience to a town
Cons: No - it was what you would expect from such a B&B.
Location: A car is essential but you are not far from village life
A comfortable overnight stay . We were made very welcome by the owner and all the staff were most pleasant. The house is in a lovely position and close to eating places in the nearby town. Our bedroom was very small however and we were pleased to be only staying one night. It was described as a single room with double occupancy !!

Mooi verblijf maar matig etenPosted Aug 3, 2014
Verblijf was goed.

I loved this B&B. Lovely countryside location. Quiet and peaceful. Wonderful nights stay then breakfast with the other residents.

Couldn't have been better - booked for my parent-in-laws to see Hadrians Wall and they were thrilled with it - success!

Our room and bath were pretty small, upstairs, with low ceiling. It wasn't bad, but I don't see how it merits a 4.8. The breakfast was good, timely, but unexceptional as well. Cute setting, but pretty out of the way. Acceptable, but middle of the road, I'd say.

Pleasant location, but overpricedPosted Jul 2, 2014 on Hotels
We received a polite and efficient welcome and our small collection of forms, including our two breakfast order sheets. If you're a vegetarian, your food likes had better include eggs. The room was tiny. A large bed was squeezed into one corner like a ship in a bottle. The wall-mounted TV necessitated a 45 degree angle from the waist when moving to my allocated side of the bed. The location was perfect for visiting Lanercost Priory, just a short walk (or hobble if you've put your back out dodging the TV) away. A bit out of the way otherwise.

Lovely hotel in a glorious locationPosted Jun 30, 2014
Location: Didn't really get a chance to explore.......we were on a mission!!
Chose this hotel to be near the first check point on The Wall Ultramarathon, we were supporting our daughter. Very pleasant surprise. Everything from check in, the room, the honour bar, the staff, breakfast and the beautiful location made this a great experience. This is the first time I've had a double shower with TWO power showers. If we ever need to stay in that part of the country I would happily choose Abbey Bridge again.

Abbey Bridge B&BPosted Apr 28, 2014 on Hotels
The ONLY points that let this place down minutely were: The pillows were too soft. Going to another building for breakfast (although I did notice that umbrellas were available). Every single member of staff were lovely and very helpful. They were all very smart and wore uniforms. The room was beautiful and spotlessly clean. There was even a small flask of proper milk!!!! The food was delicious with locally sourced products and very nicely presented. Lovely quiet setting too.
