“We'll be back next year!!”
We travel with a few couples to this location every year. We will be back again next year for sure. But would love to see bacon added to the breakfast offering as advertised on the table placard. Then I would give it 5 stars!!!
“Great stay”
I was pleasantly surprised with our hotel. From beginning to end it was a positive experience enhancing our vacation experience. I would recommend without reservation (pun intended!!)

We have stayed at this hotel on several occasions and have always been pleased with the service. There is always a staff member at the desk to answer questions or provide assistance. The staff in the breakfast room always make a point of greeting each and every person as they arrive for breakfast. The location is easy to get to and very near to many attractions near Yale-New Haven. I absolutely recommend this hotel.
“Just don't sneeze.”
The hotel is well maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and uptodate. The bed was comfortable and so were the pillows. The location is very convenient to 95. There was a concern about thin walls but it was very quiet when we were there with the exception of one very loud sneeze. Not at all disturbing; it was a very pleasant stay.
“Forgot to clean our room”
After a long day of driving and visiting family, we got back to the hotel at about 9 PM. Our room had not been cleaned, and the toilet was backed up. Not overflowing, but not usable. I called the front desk, and waited for over half an hour for some kind of response. Nothing. My elderly mother and I were exhausted and didn't want to wait up for whatever service might eventually show up, so I called back at 9:45 and asked that they please NOT come to the room. Ugh.

I will stay there again. The only complaint is that the walls are thin and you can hear your neigbors. Nice breakfast and pool area.

“Branford Holiday Inn Express”
We were caught off guard at having to find a hotel at the last minutes so close to New Haven on the weekend when Yale was having its commencement. All of the upscale restaurants were sold out so we had to find a hotel in which we usually would not stay. The people at the desk were friendly and efficient. The room was clean and modestly appointed. I like feather pillows and there were none. The walls were paper thin and thankfully the folks next door were quiet during the night but not so quiet in the afternoon when we were trying to catch a few zzz's before our evening dinner engagement. The price was higher than it should have beeen... almost double from what we have spent in many such hotels when driving long distances up and down Rt 95. But I guess it's a case of supply and demand
“Holiday Inn Express in Branford”
Well, if you find yourself in the position of having to stay in Branford CT. for a few days, your options are pretty limited. The Holiday Inn on Main St. is fine - It's clean and the hotel staff are friendly enough. The Ford Dealer next door has PA chatter going on all day long which can be a drag if you're at the hotel during business hours. The continental breakfast is nearly inedible, the eggs tasting like they arrived via fax and were then over-microwaved to death. The heater in my room kicked on and off every few minutes which interrupted my ability to sleep enough that I gave up and turned the heat off (Sleeping in a cold room was an improvement).
