“we don't care”
the hotel has a free got breakfast. All else is below avg. The staff don't care about your stay. The rooms are small for price. The hotel forgot to clean our room. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.
“good value”
Hotel a bit dated. Excellent breakfast buffet and reasonably priced lunch and dinner. Front desk staff could be a bit more friendly on check in...
“paid too much”
We chose this hotel for the location. Easily accessible off the main strip, and close to the outlet shopping. We should have chosen a different hotel. We went to the attractions one day, came back ready for a shower after 430pm and our room was still in process of cleaning. This made us late for meeting our family for dinner. Breakfast was horrible, if you want a hot breakfast. Eggs were powdered, biscuits and gravy were barely lukewarm. Fine if you just eat cereal, toast or danish. Coffee was also terrible, unless you like the machine cappuccino. Smoking is allowed in the hotel, too. At checkout, the front desk manager was not interested in our stay, as she did not inquire if it was up to our expectations, did not ask me anything at all, as a matter of fact. Next time, will stick with the national chains, or if I have more time to plan, look into a condo. Other reviews indicated all we experienced. We should have listened.
“Very convenient”
As soon as we entered our room we noticed a clump of hair behind the bathroom door, the front desk called a few minutes later to ask how everything was, I explained the situation behind the door and was asked if I would like another room, I told her don't worry about it as long as its cleaned up soon. The hair remained there the whole time we stayed in the room ( even the next day after the room was cleaned). Overall the hotel was good, they have a great breakfast and its close to everything in branson.
“Enjoyed our stay..”
We found the Grand Plaza to meet and exceed our expectations. While the hotel is older, it was clean and comfortable and made for a nice stay. The breakfast was surprisingly great. It included a variety of waffles, fruit, cererals, muffins, eggs, sausage, make your own waffles, a variety of juices and more. My husband and I did not swim during our stay, the indoor pool appeared clean, although a strong odor of chlorine was present. The staff was very friendly and helpful. This hotel is ideal for couples or families. The bed felt harder than I'd prefer. I think they should update to pillowtops. I am use to my select comfort bed and enjoy a very soft bed; but ironically my back felt better after the first night of sleeping on the firmer bed. We would definately stay again should we return to Branson.
“Will never stay here again!”
Rooms are too small and poorly maintained. Housekeeping is non-responsive, room was not cleaned. Breakfast should be eliminated, food was inediable! I believe prisons serve better food than the breakfast at this hotel.
“Fabulous for the Price”
Loved the location of this hotel; it's right next to the Tanger Outlet Mall. Everyone was very nice, room wasn't fancy, but was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great too. Will definitely stay there again.
“Some things you should know”
The hotel is 8 stories. the eighth floor is where they have breakfast. There are only 2 small elevators in the hotel and the stairs are not conveniently located. Getting up and down to breakfast was like waiting in line for a cattle call. The first room they gave us on the seventh floor had a water pipe rattling in the wall. We went back to the front desk and asked for a different room. They put us on the first floor above the lobby. This room was next to the main drain pipe for the hotel and there was constantly a sound of running water the entire time we were in the room day and night. It was better than a rattling pipe though. Both rooms wee in the center of the hotel. After moving once I didn't feel like I could ask to move again especially after getting a bargain basement rate on the room. The best thing about the hotel is the breakfast. It's a full breakfast with sausage, eggs, little fried potatoes, grits, toast, waffles, cereal, juice, fruit bar, coffee and pastries. Can't remember ever having a free breakfast that good. However Because of the room noise and the constant long waits at the elevator (5-8 minutes) I wouldn't consider staying at this hotel again.
“Great experience”
Very professional as well as friendly. Beautiful hotel with great rooms. The free breakfast was very filling and hot. Will definitely stay again
“Grand Plaza Hotel --Not what I expected...”
The outside of hotel and internal decorations looked very nice. They had nice furnishings, however the beds were some of the worst I have ever slept on. I think the mattresses were extremely cheap to be in a 3 star hotel. I sell furniture and these mattresses were about the quality of the lowest end mattresses we sell. Also, we stayed 3 nights. After the first night we left our room in the morning at 9:00 and came back at 3:00 in the afternoon. Our room had not been cleaned at all. When we called the front desk, they made excuses but finally came up to clean the room while we left for another hour or so. When we came back, it was hastily cleaned and not done very well.
