good location

Posted Sep 4, 2014
Pros: location,
Cons: free breakfast is horrible
Location: close walk to a few restaurants and theaters. next door to gokarts and mini golf.
I've stayed in better, I've stayed in worse. the price you pay is for the location on the main drag, not the level of hotel. Free breakfast is a joke, plan to eat elsewhere.

Dirty floors and the free breakfast was a joke

Posted Sep 3, 2014
Pros: Location, outside appearance, leaving.
Cons: Breakfast, carpet cleanliness.
Location: One of the best shows in Branson (The Duttons) was just across the street.
We stayed at the Lodge of the Ozarks over the Labor Day weekend. The hotel looks nice enough from the outside. However, carpeting in the hallways and room was very dirty. After walking from the hotel room to the front and back my kids socks were black on the bottom. Walking in the room also made our socks dirty. I realize that the floors are made dirty by the other guests and not the hotel staff but cleaning the carpet has to be the responsibility of the hotel. This was the first hotel where I felt grossed out walking in my room in stockings. We had to keeps our kids on the beds while wearing stockings or had them wear shoes when walking on the floor. The free breakfast was very disappointing. For free was a continental breakfast. Today most all hotels provide a free hot breakfast. What this hotel provided was just disappointment. They were out of knives to butter your bread. They were out of bowls for cereal. The orange juice machine was out of orange juice. There were other people standing around in disbelief. We didn't bother going back for this "free" breakfast after the first morning. They would do themselves a favor by not proving free breakfast at all. You can easily get a better hot breakfast at other hotels while paying less. On the positive side, the room was quiet without much noise from other guests. The person at the concierge desk was very helpful. Check-in was easy. The hotel is in a good location.

Beware of the "deal rooms". Very disappointing

Posted Sep 2, 2014
Pros: The staff was very helpful and professional
Cons: Have the room decor to be consistent. Don't treat the "low dollar" rooms like trash, get new TVs, chairs, decor, etc.
Location: It's right on the main Branson strip, where all the shows are. Lots of things to do nearby, but the "strip" tends to get bumper to bumper traffic.
I'm from a nearby town so I've driven past Lodge of the Ozarks several times and have always wanted to stay there. I visited my grandparents when they were a guest there and I thought the hotel and the room decor was so neat and unique... a rustic lodge approach. So when we found a deal on Expedia, I jumped right on it! The pictures that the hotel shows you of the rooms? Those are premier rooms. Our room was on the top (4th) floor and the only thing that was rustic about it was the lamp shades. Our tv was a small box tv, furniture was old and obviously retired from other rooms, shower went from hot to extremely cold if another room flushed the toilet. I felt like we were staying at a cheapy Motel 6 and not this cool Lodge of the Ozarks. :-( We were so disappointed

Continental breakfast not great

Posted Sep 2, 2014
Room clean and comfortable. Complimentary breakfast not very good. There was a hot breakfast served for$5.99 this was not good either. All food was served in the lounge during Elvis impersonator show. Tables covered with cigarette burns.

Nice hotel right on the strip

Posted Aug 29, 2014
The hotel staff was very friendly and the hotel itself was very nice. We had a few ants in the room. The staff got right on it and sprayed while we were out for the day. The continental breakfast wasn't all that great. Overall we had a great stay and would recommend this property.

We stayed in room 306. The first observation was when we got off the elevator on the 3rd floor was an extreme amount of cigarette smoke. When I asked the manager about it he stated that the 3rd floor was designated no smoking and he would check into it. It continued to get worse throughout the night. Then the next morning the catering company that was supplying the breakfast ran out of coffee and other breakfast items like biscuits, gravy, and eggs. When I asked the person in charge of the catering (he said his name was Chris) he was very rude and informed me that my family would "just have to wait"

Close to all we did

The hotel was pretty nice. It was centrally located. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Really liked that the pool was small and shallow to allow younger kids to swim and enjoy it also.

Nice because it was on the strip

Posted Aug 6, 2014
It was a nice room for the most part. It was in a good area on the strip of branson. Also had a very good restaurant. The only things bad about it is we found a couple of hairs on the jetted tub, the flat screen tv had scratchy sound and the balcony was in a horrible spot

Right in the middle of everything!

Posted Aug 5, 2014
Pros: I liked how it was in the middle on the main road with all of the different attractions so no drive was too far from the other.
Location: Ripley's, Go-Carts, Walgreens, Mini-golf, ECT.
We had a king suite, It had a kitchen area but I wished it had a small refrigerator. It also had a balcony, that was facing the indoor pool with all the children hollering about until the pool closed (about 10 I think) so that was irritating. The room also came with a chlorine smell due to that. It was very clean though!
