Pros: I liked the fact that there was a indoor pool that my kids loved with the slide. the room was nice and roomy for the four of us.
Cons: everything was great from what i experience
Location: the museum, ride the duck, golf its was so many things to do around the welk i cant remember all
my experience was great, the people was nice in the hotel and well as when we went out to different restaurant and ordering in was great as well. i would reommand the welk to many people great price to stay only one thing i believe should change is serving some type of breakfast that comes with the stay will be nice with the pricing the the hotel comes with.

Not really a resort

Posted Mar 15, 2015
I'm not sure what kind of "resort" this is. They don't have any amenities available after 8:00 pm. Which is a huge inconvenience if you're wanting a drink to relax with on your vacation. Their indoor Waterpark consists of a tiny pool and one slide. There isn't enough seating available for the guests either. Parking was kind or ridiculous. No breakfast included. You have to go to their restaurant which is not connected to the "resort" itself. Honestly would have had a more comfortable stay at La Quinta. We stayed for two nights and ended up having to change rooms on the 2nd night due to a leak in the bathroom ceiling (due to an overflowing toilet from the floor above us. Sewer water anyone? The staff didn't even offer any compensation for the trouble we went through of having to switch our room at 11 pm up two floors. The beds are very uncomfortable. If I were you, I'd make this place your last "resort"....

Branson with 3 young boys

Posted Mar 9, 2015
The pool area was by far the best part of our stay and the main reason why we chose the Welk Resort. We all had a blast! I am excited to bring them back during summer when the rest if the pool area is open. The restaurant has absolutely no vegan/vegetarian options... Except fries. That needs to change. Even though we're in the Midwest there are still plenty if vegetarians and they should be considered. Other than that everything was just fine.

Nice hotel but......

Posted Mar 2, 2015
Pros: the staff and hotel itself
Cons: access to the pool and resturaunt from the hotel instead of requiring a certain level of bravery of the elements
Location: it is by table rock lake and close enough to the branson strip to get there by car
The hotel, the indoor pool/splashatorium and resturaunt are not connected nor is the rec center. the parking is less than convenient in cold weather this is highly undesirable. i am glad we only stayed 2 nights rather than all 7 of our vacation

Activities lady saved our trip

Posted Mar 1, 2015
We went to Branson in the winter for a Sunday-Tuesday mini retreat. We did not relise that most of Branson shuts down for winter. So after driving around most of the day not finding anything open that we wanted to do, we went to the resort pool. The pool area was clean and very nice, the water slide was a blast and the water play area for tots and young kids was very nice as well. At the pool we met the activities lady and she told us about daily activities they have for the kids, she even was flexible and opened up other activities/ crafts that our kids could do. She recommended resturants to us that would be open and even called them to double check that they where open!!! She seriously saved our trip, worked great helping our kids with their projects too! She had movies we could borrow if we wanted to, an Xbox in the activities room and ping pong. She just went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay and time at the hotel. The hotel itself was nice and clean.

2 night stay - Just OK

Posted Feb 16, 2015
Pros: I liked that it was really clean and they went out of their way to make Valentine's Day fun for the family. The Pool and water area area terrific!
Cons: Improve the breakfast options. You don't serve "fake" food at a resort!!!
Location: Things to do: Tons of shopping and shows.
Overall, this was a "ok" place to stay. The people were very friendly and helpful. We were rather disappointed with the breakfast. Powdered eggs at a resort? Dry biscuits? The in room safe would never unlock and it took two days for them to get it unlocked for us. The person who came to help the one night acted "clueless". The second person, acted the same way and finally left to get a master key.

Nice hotel, rather a resort. They sell timeshares .

Posted Feb 15, 2015
At the concierge desk they wanted us to sign up for timeshare sales. They had a sign for breakfast but none available, the restaurant was all locked up ( on Tuesday) Out of season it was all quiet. I was, unable to print the boarding pass.
