Staff were lovely, place was beautiful, it was a bit of a maze to get to our room, but otherwise have no complaints, it was clean and safe. Fantastic location, would definitely stay again.

I enjoyed my stay at the Martello during the Easter break. Staff was amazing and attentive, very friendly. The food was incredible and I appreciated the heads up regarding the noise level in the evenings, which I did not mind, since I was notified in advance. Highly recommend staying there.

This is our fifth stay in the Martello and it never fails to impress us. The beautiful rooms and excellent food was as usual perfect. We enjoyed the comedy festival also and will definitely be back.

Fantastic Place To Stay
We arrived on New Year's Day. Our room was clean, the staff was friendly and the beds were very comfortable. The bar area was great too. My only negative was having to lug my bag upstairs, but it was a small price to pay for great accommodations. I would definitely stay here again.

Christmas break by the sea
Our stay was comfortable. The staff were very nice and welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed Bray. Hotel was in the centre of promenade and certainly was the hub.

We have always loved the Martello but on our last visit both the manager and receptionist were very ignorant to us. We have been coming here for years now but that experience really put us off. So one year on we decided to give it another go and I’m glad we did. Obviously the staff are much nicer now and the refurb really has done wonders to the place.

On the beach! Beautiful property inside and outside. Multiple dining areas and multiple bars. Stunningly beautiful inside. Very lovely friendly staff. I want to go back!

Restaurant and bar - very good food and service. Elevator location most inconvenient - having to go outside to the service alley, then inside for the elevator. Awful and women felt unsafe. Entry door here was never locked and anyone could gain access day or night. Two staircases to guest rooms very difficult to move luggage. No people to help carry luggage. No parking. No drop off/pick up area for guests wanting to leave property.

It was a cute room and fairly clean. The food was good and staff was friendly. We were warned there was a live band on Friday nights but were not prepared for how loud the base would be in our room. extremely loud in our room even with ear plugs. It sounded like we were right above the kitchen as there was constant banging around day and night.

The Martello Hotel was a nice older hotel right across the road from the boardwalk and water. It is a lovely area. The beds were comfortable and rooms were clean. We had 4 person apartments. Had a full kitchen.

Too noisey
Very noisey...the dart railway is very close to hotel and runs most of the time... We were in 324 so had the side entrance below our window..deliveries and builders working from an early hours.

We arrived in the rain by train. We were early for check in but were allowed to leave our luggage and were informed that we would be called when the room was ready. Unfortunately this call was never received. Cold and wet we returned to the hotel late afternoon to find that it was ready! We pulled our luggage up 2 flights of stairs to find our room at the back of the building. We were very disappointed. Not only was there no view but the windows were frosted so we could see absolutely nothing! We couldn't even tell if the rain had stopped!! It also made the room very dark. After a cup of tea we headed out again as we did not want to spend any time in this room. The only plus was that it was close to the train station.

An absolute gem in Bray!
This was my second time staying at The Martello Hotel and it got even better! What a great place. Staff is extremely nice and helpful, food is top notch, and the atmosphere cannot be beat. Thank you for another amazing experience.

Stayed with my two children for a couple of nights in one of the Martello apartments. We were so so impressed with the apartment, the service and location. Good selection of food available in the bar and restaurant and staff with extremely helpful. Would definitely stay again. Delighted overall.

The restaurant was amazing. The curry was delicious, and the Wicklow Wolf Craft Beer Battered Cod was sensational! The hotel was very comfortable, and right on the seafront! I would highly recommend this hotel.

Well Hotels.com done it again, absolutely lovely hotel, staff great, food brilliant. Really cannot find a fault. Loved the stay, even managed a firework display just across road from the hotel at night. Bray is a very nice location.

The hotel was nice! The staff was very friendly and nice! However, the area outside was very dirty and very loud! If you want to sleep or if you want to be able to sleep before 3am this is not the hotel for you. Also parking is horrible- literally no parking anywhere close to the hotel!

Best for youngsters out all night
On the upside the staff are amazing, the food is decent, the drinks choices are good, the location is on the seafront and near to the DART train into Dublin and it is a lovely place plus the wifi is good and the room aircon excellent. On the downside our room always smelled of cooking oil. I think it needs to be changed more regularly guys! And you do need ear plugs if you want to sleep before 3am on a Friday or Saturday as the bands and disco keep going all night!

Very nice property and staff was super nice. Only issue is parking. It is pay to park street parking. The fee is reasonable but was not aware of it so I got a €40 parking ticket.
