“Very pleased!”

My sister and I stayed at this hotel for two nights during our recent trip to Round Top/Warrenton. I found it listed on a Round Top website and decided to book a room here based on previous favorable Expedia reviews... and due to the fact that all the large "chain hotels" in Brenham were already booked for the big antique fair weekend. I was cautiously optimistic that this hotel would live up to the reviews... and it certainly did! The room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable and everything looked and felt fresh and new as the rooms have been recently remodeled. I'm glad we chose this hotel and would definitely return for another stay.

“incredible bargain”

Our room was clean, well located, and simply enormous. It was also extremely well priced. Directly across the street was a seafood restaurant that served the best grilled seafood that we had on our entire three-week trip through the south. Do not be put off by the price, which is low, thinking you are getting a hovel. This motel was one of the most comfortable we encountered. It also had a partial kitchen that could serve for a long-term stay. What an incredible find.

“Problem Solved Quickly”

Exhausted, we arrived rather late to our hotel. The staff was very courteous when we arrived. The manager was waiting for us due to the hour and never seemed inconvenienced with our late arrival. We arrived to our room ready to relax. For some reason the television didn't work. I called the office about the problem thinking one or two hours later we could watch TV. Management was knocking on our door within five minutes of calling. He said he had to reset the TV and within ten minutes, television was back. Regardless of the time, managment takes care of any problems that arise.

“Friendly, Comfortable, inexpensive”

We picked this motel because other reviews were positive and everything was as described, including the restaurant across the street. I'm always a little worried about places that cost less, but the service was friendly, the room was comfortable and clean with everything you need. Don't pay more!

Clean, large rooms. The large refrigerator and kitchenette would have been a plus back when our kids were little. Nothing fancy, but comfortable.

Overall reasonable quality, rooms remodeled, mattresses a bit soft. Breakfast simple but present. Bathrooms clean and in good maintenance.

“Very Disappointed”

Motel did not meet expectations based on previous reviews. Lighting was so dim it was hard to tell a lot about the cleanliness of the room, but did note dust on items in the vanity area. However, there was enough light to see the undermount sink had separated from the vanity top and dropped about 2", some off-color grout had been used to try to cover the black moldy area of the tub where it met the wall tile, the bathroom paint job was about the sloppiest I've ever seen, and the pillows were about as flat as they come. As for breakfast, it definitely was minimal, and the two old moldy oranges had obviously seen better days. On a positive note, the 32" flat screen tv had a good picture, and the seafood place across the street had really good food.
