Best hotel I've been to for ages.....Posted Nov 26, 2013
Pros: I liked the general relaxed ambience in this hotel and everything seemed to be taken care of.
Cons: Nothing could be improved I think.
Location: It is located near to the train station and only a short walk to the center.
The standard rooms have computers with internet access as well as TV. The en suite bath and shower were very good and always hot water available. The room was clean and fresh, the staff were courteous and helpfull and it was a pleasure to be there. I could not believe how cheap it was and it was excellent value for money. I would not hesitate to come back again..... A real find.

Excellent choice for those new to areaPosted Jun 17, 2013
Pros: staff, location near the train station
Location: near waterfront and city center
The staff were very courteous to us! Went out of their way to be helpful, spoke excellent English (thank you!), had great recommendations on what to see and do. We followed their advice and had a great time!

Great hotel for couples/business travellersPosted Jun 4, 2013
Pros: The staff, breakfast, having a computer with free internet access in the room
Location: excellent location. Just a few minutes walk from the bus/coach station
Coul not fault the staff, especially Anthony who spoke excellent English. He recommended other places to visit and restaurants to use. It felt like we were staying at a freinds house rather than a hotel and we were made to feel very welcome. The only negative (and a small one) is that the hotel is a little dated but very clean and comfortable and there was a decent selection of food at breakfast.

A great hotel close to the train station and the city centre with a large range of resturants and pubs, for the Irish there are two Irish bars close to the hotel. The hotel managment and staff are friendly and very helpfull and they speak excellent English, Rooms are a bit on the small side but are clean and comfortable as is the hotel in general, Nice hotel for a short stay.

Not bad for a one day stayPosted Jun 26, 2012
Cons: Room size
Location: Located about 100 metres from the Brest railway station, before Best Western Hotel.
Room was extremely small. To make it worse, the lift to the room on the 3rd floor was not working. Breakfast spread was austere. However the staff was polite but, communication in spoken English was their bete noire.

Friendly, quiet hotelPosted Jun 26, 2012
I have stayed here 2 nights a year for several years. The staff is friendly, helpful and go out of their way to make one comfortable. Yes, the room is European smallish, but has a big window and a sliding storm window that opens, shower/tub, and free WiFi with keyboard in the room. The staff is happy to print your boarding pass if you check in online. Hotel Abalys is located across from Kennedy Park and parking - the staff will explain how to manage the timing of ticket purchase to keep the cost very low. The train station is just down the street where you can catch a shuttle to the airport. It is an easy walk to the art museum, Rue de Siam and the office of tourism. The breakfast is very good but not included. The bar is not open to the public. There are several good restaurants very close by.

Very quiet with helpful staffPosted Mar 19, 2012 on Hotels.com
Very convenient location for the train station and centre of town, but very quiet still. Bathroom was a little cramped, and some of the decor looking a bit tired, but kept very clean. Despite my lack of French, staff were very pleasant and helpful

Not badPosted Mar 2, 2012 on Hotels.com
The rooms are small, but this is to be expected. Not bad for a two star hotel. My hairdryer did not work and complained but this was not resolved. The 8 Euro breakfast was not bad - initially I thought it was expensive but when you go to Paris then you will experience what expensive feels like (my hotel there wanted to charge 19 Euro for breakfast)

Best hotel in BrestPosted Dec 16, 2011
This place was perfect. Front desk staff was the most helpful person ever, spoke english, and had great suggestions as to things to do around Brest. Located right by the train station and a short walk to the centre of the city, and to the harbour area.
