Quality hotel on a budget

Posted Sep 1, 2013
Location: The hotel is on a very plain street. However the centre of Brest with restaurants, cinemas, etc. is five blocks dow the road.
Very good hotel. The facade of the building is a bit drab, like most buildings in the centre of Brest, but inside the room was sparklingly clean and very comfortable. We had an American style room with two double beds. Given the good price I would certainly recommend this hotel for Brest.

Good value

Nice and comfortable, clean & friendly located just behind Le Primtemps Department store off main street. Only draw back parking, available but not directly from hotel so no big luggage recommended.

Very helpful

Posted Jun 12, 2013 on Hotels.com
The staff were very helpful and spoke perfect English. Not the best neighbourhood but easy walking distance to restaurants (10 min walk). Breakfast and dinner prices in the hotel were not cheap. Overall, a good hotel for a short stay.

Good value, well located

Posted Oct 5, 2012
Pros: Location, staff.
Cons: Restaurant closed on Sunday.
Location: One block from main artery leading to center of city. Center a five minute walk.
Well located. Restaurant closed on weekend, which is a problem, because there are essentially no restaurants open on Sunday in Brest. Staff was helpful and courteous, and room was adequate in all respects.

Close to centre but still quiet

Posted Aug 31, 2012 on Hotels.com
It was a very pleasant stay, the staff are very friendly and helpful and the hotel is in a side street so it is quiet at night. The rooms are spacious and very clean. At the time the hotel restaurant and bar were closed but there are enough restaurants and bars just down the road so you don't really need it. The breakfast buffet was very good though at 15 Euro a bit expensive

Brest. A rebuilt City on the Atlantic Coast

Posted Apr 16, 2012
Pros: As listed above
Cons: None
Location: A short walk from th Tourist Office or the Rail station at the Port. Shuttle Bus from the airport stops at both those places
Brest is not on the tourist route. However, we found the Hotel and its staff to be excellent in answering all of our needs and questions. (and, this was Easter week) To find accomodations which were large (in the American style of hotel space) wonderful service, and a great breakfast (included) is not the norm in France. We Recommend dining at the Relais d'Alcace. The Sea food and menu was superb. A walk along the fort wall overlooking the Port was pleasant and interesting. Brest is a city that was totally rebuilt after World War 2. It was the last German holdout and the Allied forces bombing totally obliterated it.

Convenient location in a quiet street near the city centre, with several restaurants nearby. Good rooms, well furnished and well kept. Some problems in the city with tramway construction (Aurumn 2010) but not affecting this street directly.

The best in the area

I found the hotel to be clean, the staff friendly and at a good location. The room was spacious and extra towels, pillows and blankets etc were no problem at all.
