JEWEL IN CAPE CODPosted Jul 10, 2014
I hardly know where to begin. This is a Jewel of a Bed & Breakfast from every perspective. It is a beautiful respite from the routine and mundane. If you've never been to the Cape before it's location is perfect for exploring the entire area. Our hosts Charlie and Brian are extraordinary; they have paid attention to EVERY detail. All the features and appointments to your room are done with a keen eye to accommodating every need, from comfy and premium quality bed linens to fragrant soaps and lotions to luscious towels and bathrobes. Our breakfast each morning was delicious and pretty. I loved the fresh cranberry pancakes! Beach chairs, bikes, beach towels, anything you forgot to bring, don't worry! I also loved the coffee bar on every floor, to make a quick cup every morning and the cookies OMG!!!! Sherry in the evening too.....I'm not kidding nothing is left out! Whether your interests are beaches, exploring the wonderful history of the area or just pure relaxation and comfort it is here at The Old Manse Inn. Mother/Adult Daughter Vacation

B&B with excellent servicePosted Jul 8, 2014
Pros: Cleanliness and hospitality.
Cons: A littLe bigger TV would be nice but that's not what your in town for anyway.
Location: The beach is a 15 minute walk, there's a store and an ice cream shop in walking distance and you can ride your bike to some really good lobster places
This Cape Cod B&B is wonderful! My husband and I spent 3 nights at The Old Manse Inn and I have to say that it was my best B&B experience so far in life. The house itself has a lot of history and it is very well kept. It has a nice big front yard with Adirondack chairs and plenty of parking. The room we stayed in was very pleasing, the bathroom immaculately CLEAN with tons of towels. The bedsheets smelled of fresh wash. There were fresh cookies in the hallways every day. The innkeepers Brian and Charlie do an excellent job of running the inn. Brian's talent in the kitchen is fantastic, the breakfasts were very healthy and yummie with a fun twist. Charlie's hospitality makes everybody feel welcome. The staff is very nice as well. The inn is located in a busy (but not too busy) place of town with a big old store and an ice cream shop in walking distance. I cannot wait to go back!

Nice place to stay and relaxPosted May 4, 2014
Pros: I liked the relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.
Location: There were interesting specialty shops near by, beaches were not so far away and there was a state park nearby to enjoy.
We had a wonderful experience from the time we walked into the house to the time we checked out. Brian and Charlie are wonderful hosts making us feel welcome and comfortable, making sure we had everything needed. Breakfast was incredible. I am looking forward to going again for a longer stay next time.

Classic New England Inn!Posted Jan 3, 2014
Pros: Beautiful decor, great location, wonderful service.
Location: Great location. Close to beaches and shopping.
We stayed at the Old Manse Inn over New Year's while attending First Night Chatham. The inn is beautiful and the owners are terrific. The rooms are individually decorated, clean and comfortable. We are already planning a return trip!

Wonderful stay at classic Cape Cod innPosted Jan 2, 2014 on Hotels.com
This is a wonderful place. The owners are quite sociable and the location is proximate to many places to visit on the Cape. Also, the inn is like a museum of classic older Cape cod furnishings and decor..By the way we've visited Cape Cod about 70 times and would gladly stay here again.

Interesting and unusualPosted Oct 13, 2013
Cons: Loose fixtures and fittings, ie toilet seat and sink plug (as it kept sticking down) Opening the door with the an ancient lock/key was a challenge
Location: Location was good for going to Acadia and stopping at places in between.
Brenda and Mike were most welcoming - the rooms are mixture of cultures and antiques. It was like living in someone's grand country house and there were some lovely touches such as, a cheese and wine soiree with a chance to meet other guests. Being British, our breakfast were interesting as we do it differently, it 's unusual for us to have sweet courses, like waffles and syrup, a real treat!

SuperbPosted Oct 7, 2013
We stayed at the Old Manse Inn for 3 days last week (first week of October) after a set of business meetings/conference in Boston. We arrived late, but Rich was there to greet us almost before we rang the bell. The inn is delightful, like stepping back in time; beautifully decorated, antique furniture everywhere, old fashioned games in the games room, comfy sofas, coffee machine, complementary sherry and port and a piano in the lounge, a four-poster bed, a huge collection of books, maps and leaflets about the area ... and yet also decent shower, jacuzzi bath, cable TV and great wifi. Rich is full of information about the area (places and restaurants) and we found his advice to be excellent. However best of all -- the breakfasts! A set menu, a relatively small number of things, but different, and superbly executed. For example: strawberry and peach parfait followed by asparagus frittata and the crispest bacon I've tasted; oat brulee with toasted apple; vanilla french toast with perfect sausages. People came down to the breakfast room specially in the evening to see what delights were in store for breakfast the next day. I can honestly say those three breakfasts were the best I've had anywhere. Thank you Rich & Karen.
