Nice location to explore the Cape

Posted Jul 20, 2014
Nice rooms set in little hamlets over a 350 acre area. Great to have a kitchen and ensuite laundry. Staff very friendly and helpful. If you book a room and intend using a sofa bed, they are rather uncomfortable so request extra duvets or consume more wine! Lovely pool area and the villages side seemed more family friendly than the Mansion side when talking to people. Overall good facilities and excellent base for Chatham and driving up to Provincetown.

Nice Resort - could use some updating

Posted Jul 16, 2014
Probably fine for families, but for adults only, rooms are outdated as opposed to common areas. Adult pool needs beverages; Large pool overrun with kids.

Horrible place..rude personell

Posted Jul 8, 2014
Pros: great golf course
Cons: train your receptionist and teach them to be there to assit people rather than being rude
They didn't let us in the room till after 4pm in the afternoon. Reception personnel were rude and didn't even bother to even talk to you. They charge you a fee of $235 and then if u want to use of any of their facilities like playing tennis u have to pay additional fees. This is my worse experience in the cape cod. U r better off to any other hotels in the area

Plenty to offer for a comfortable family stay

Posted Jul 6, 2014
Pros: Clean and plenty of room for 5 in suite. We all felt safe and had no issues with noise, etc. at night. "The Shark Bah" is a great feature!
Cons: As above, golf staff can be more welcoming. Also, we stayed on the village side and were not aware that mansion-side beach was not available for free.
Location: Easy trips to Chatham, Harwich, and Dennis for favorite family dining, etc. JT's restaurant is excellent and within walking distance too.
We have 3 boys, ages 10,13 and 14. Ocean Edge turned out to be a very nice fit for our family with our room being just steps from the large pool and golf course and only minutes away from some of our favorite CC restaurants and sites. As first time residents, I believe the golf staff could do a much better job in making guest golfers feel more welcome and be more informative about the range, course layout, etc. The Nicklaus course is very nice and in excellent shape.

A lovely getaway in the Cape Cod area.

Posted Jul 3, 2014
Pros: Nice location, pleasant staff; beautiful surroundings.
We spent 4 nights at the hotel and were pleased with it's location and amenities. Loved the size of the room. Were pleased with having a kitchen for use. On the negative side, the hairdryer stopped working after about 2 min. and had to be recharged in order to continue.

Not Quite Worth the Money

Posted Jun 17, 2014
Pros: Washer/dryer in the room and each villa was it's own "apartment".
Cons: Higher quality linens and mattress
Location: Plenty of beaches within a 30 minute drive; golf course, pools and tennis courts on site; in a nice environment.
I have no doubt that the Mansion side of Ocean Edge Resort is nice, however the Villas side was so-so; not exactly what I expected from a 4-star hotel. For what I paid, I would probably try somewhere else, since we didn't even use the facilities (gold course, pool, restaurants, etc.).
