Bridgend is in Cardiff, a major city with a population of 300,000 people. This popular area sits 13 miles (21 kilometers) to the northeast of Cardiff International Airport, and just 17 miles (27 kilometers) from the city's central business district area.

Bridgend is a popular place to visit while you are exploring Cardiff as some of the city’s star attractions are within easy reach. The St Donat's Castle and the Cottrell Park Golf Resort are just two of the popular destinations in the area. The Cardiff area is filled with reminders of the past; start your historic tour at Cardiff Castle and Caerphilly Castle.

If you love to play golf, take a trip to the Brynhill Golf Club in Barry. It’s a great way to get out and enjoy the fresh air.
