The “savings” aren’t worth it!
I know this is a low-budget hotel, but it was especially bad. Ants in the shower; water damage on the baseboards; dips in the floor of the room (tripping hazard); dirty towels (stains and hair on supposedly clean towels); the sheets were melted; TV screen was low-quality and had a fuzzy picture; pool was closed for renovations; ice machine was broken; the list goes on. I would not recommend. The “savings” aren’t worth it!

Not happy did get some rest and went on our way
K usually not to complain but it’s July and they don’t have the air running so room was over 80 degrees so air ran wide open all night had to sleep on top of the covers . Then we had stained towels look like some one had washed there grease off there boots .

A very dated motel that is in the process of being renovated, but you can only do so much. Restaurant was closed, free breakfast was very limited. Secondary entry door would not close therefore no security.

I checked in and 10 minutes later checked out. I could not possible stay in that Hotel. The room smelled of mildew as soon as I open the door. The bedding may have been cleaned but both the pillow cases and sheets had stains that looked like pee. The bathroom ceiling was covered with water damage and mildew. The hotel was under renovation, which is fine, but condition of the room was completely unacceptable for anyone to stay in. I wish I had remembered to take pictures but I was so disgusted I just needed to get out asap. I simply dropped off my room cards at reception and stated I couldn't possible stay another minute. I went to Hampton Inn instead.

All amenities, such as restaurant, bar, pool, hot breakfast did not exist. Walking barefoot in room left feet black instantly. Will never stay again or recommend to others.

The registration went smoothly, the motel was clean and neat, and the parking was free. With that being said, accessing the motel coming southbound was confusing and dangerous. There was an odor in the hall and lobby that reeked of sewer gas. The room was clean but the beds creaked from being worn out and were very uncomfortable. You get what you pay for so don't expect comfortable beds. The was great though.

This building is old for a hotel. It was built in 1972, so it's now 50 years old. You can tell by looking at the place, she has some miles on her. You can't really tell by looking from afar, but once you get up close, you'll know. The inside and outside of this place needs repair. It has a musty smell inside. Our room had ants 🐜 inside, everywhere! We did not find them until the next morning. They were all over our bed and all over the floor. The place needs pest control. The reason why this place did not get a bad overall review is because even though this inn is a bit old and shabby, it makes up for it in other ways. The staff was really nice and helpful. The gentleman I met while checking out had such a wonderful personality. You could tell that he was a sociable team member who really enjoyed his job. He knew the history about the place. He also listened and seemed to care about the guests staying there. Most importantly, this place had the best internet connection I have ever had, at any hotel I've ever stayed at! I was always logged on, even if my tablet stayed idle for a while. You don't get that at most places. Our room had a decent size refrigerator which kept our picnic food cold, and we didn't need our cooler. The TV worked and we were able to get weather report updates. I was really pleased at the amenities there. It's a cheaper motel room, so you get what you pay for. Even though the place itself has issues, there are also advantages.

Very Disappointing for a Clarion
This hotel DOES NOT offer shampoo, soap, or any amenities that other hotels do. It does not offer continental breakfast or any other breakfast for that matter. The heater in the room didn’t work. Definitely needs upgrading. We were also double charged for this room (currently waiting on refund a month later). I would recommend paying a few extra dollars and finding a better hotel.

Get what u pay for I guess. Room was fine. Halls in hotel are dark and missing tile on ceiling makes it feel like a dumpy place. No breakfast due to Covid. Covid has been around for two years take it off your hotel description. Bar wasn’t open, again if it was because of Covid say that in description.

They overcharged, committed fraud on our credit card. One night we stayed in our room $64. They charged $3800.00 by charging $407.68 nine times. Take this hotel off your site.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They are this locations best asset. There was big construction equipment and a huge pile of coal in the parking lot. The awning over the entrance was damaged. Breakfast wasn't very good, muffins and donuts were stale and the milk was left sitting out and was warm. There was an unpleasant odor that we could not identify. No coffee pots in the room. The ice machine was broken and we had to ask the staff for ice. Our room had double/full size mattresses on queen pedestals and we were banging our knees constantly. We were in Fairmont for a funeral so our entire stay was miserable. We will not be back.

Worthy for a one night stay
In the area to visit our son at WVU. It just so happened that there was also a WVU Football game on the same day and there were no rooms available anywhere. This motel was 25 minutes from Morgantown so still some what convenient. Room was clean, good water pressure and hot. They are renovating some of the rooms so when you first approach the hotel, it looks some what sketchy. We were just there for one night. Room worked well for that.

The property was old and dirty. You could only see the hotel sign coming one direction and not the other we kept missing the turn. It was on a big hill hidden. My room was suppose to be a non-smoking and had a sign that was non smoking, but it smelled like it had been smoked in for years. The breakfast was gross. The water coming out of the shower was brown. We only got two towels instead of four for three of us. I left early and could not stay another night , felt so dirty!

Good room for family stay. Room was large and clean. I would like to say this is one of my best hotel in my journey. Only swimming pool water was not clean in this property but I didn’t use that and we can ignore it in corona era😊

Nice hotel, no frills.
Check in was quick. Lounge area was closed with COVID-19 as the reason. Pool area was nice. Beds were comfortable with spacious rooms. I would stay again. Good value.

Marginal conditions for the rate. We reserved that afternoon, got there at 11pm and had an upstairs room. It was an typical July day and the air wasnt turned on in the room. It was 88° in the room. By 4am it has only cooled down to 79° and was still miserable. Mold on ceiling in the bathroom. Staff was friendly and parking conditions were fantastic.

Ok place to stay. Staff was very friendly. They are currently in the middle of a remodel. Rooms are fairly nice. For the price you can’t beat it. Would stay again if needed.

There was alot of garbage around the grounds in front of motel. It has a funny smell about the place. It's not a bad smell but not real good either just weird. They were under construction remodeling that could of been the smell.

They were in the midst of a remodel, and they didn't close off the area they were remodeling. I can look past the dust and debris laying around, but close the areas off. And don't have preservable rooms right next to it. Outside of that it was a decent spot to stay.

Pleasant one night stay with hot breakfast!
Very convenient. Very easy check in with pleasant staff. We were pleased to find a hotel whose pool was open which was very clean and enjoyable. Also was very pleased that they were serving a hot breakfast. It was not their usual serve yourself breakfast buffet, but they had a breakfast attendant who served you your choice of homestyle potatoes, sausage links and scrambled eggs! With coffee and juice! The Clarion Inn in Fairmont pulled it off in a very health conscious manner. This was amazing since most hotels are only offering grab and go bagged breakfast which leaves soooo much to be desired. The cleanliness of the rooms was not great but nothing glaring. Due to the key carded outside access to the halls that led to the guest rooms, there was a distinct smoke smell wafting up the halls which was unpleasant. One of our rooms (we booked two rooms) was a bit mixed up (not the right beds) upon check-in but the front desk clerk made it right quickly and without any hesitation.
