“Will stay again”

This was the first time we stayed at the Wingate...we were very pleased. Everything was very clean and the service was good. The breakfast was very tasty...we will definitely stay again.

“Very good value, staff very helpful and clean rooms”

Location needs to be defined better as there are 5 off ramps for the area and we had to have the locals direct us to the hotel which was 3 off ramps away. The hotel location was quiet and clean. Restaurants were not in abundance just a sports bar near by we had to drive about 10 minutes to find the suggested restaurant by the front desk clerk. The food was very good.

“not impressed”

I chose this hotel based on the good reviews and the price/ammenities. Upon check-in the lady at the desk immedialty told me she had no rooms available but 10 min later she miraculously had not one but two room open up after she decided to call housekeeping to see what was clean. She should have done that in the first place. I get to the room and it felt a little outdated and there was a conneting door to the next room. I could hear everything in the next room so I requested a new room. The women told me all rooms have a connecting door but upon entering my new room there was no connecting door. The bed was very firm and the room could have been cleaner. Toilet emitted a sewage smell. Small blood stain on quilts. Breakfast was hot and pretty good. Pool was kind of dirty-lots of hair kept getting stuck to me and a bird was trapped in the pool area. It was not what I expected.

“Great place to stay in beautiful W Va”

The hotel was just what we expected, staff was very pleasant. We didn't get in until 10pm, but the desk clerk was very attentive to our needs. Breakfast was very nice, plenty of food choices, including yogurt and granola, very European!

“Very Good Hotel”

We used this hotel to get away from our house due to some bathroom renovations going on to avoid the fumes. We thought this hotel was very clean and very nice to stay in. The bed was comfortable and we got a good nights rest.

“I will stay here again!”

This hotel is very nice and clean with very friendly service. The pool is great and the hot tub is big enough for about 20 people! The beds are very comfortable and their breakfast was delicious. I have eaten at a lot of hotels and the breakfast usually isn't very good but this hotel has delicious gravy and biscuits! I will definately stay here again!!!

“Wish it had a room available last time I visited!”

“Very convenient for meetings”

It was hard to control heating/cooling effectively in the room. There were not many choices of restaurants nearby. Otherwise, everything was great. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

“Great for Contractors that want a nice place to crash”

If you want a quality stay and not pay hilton prices checkout this hotel. The single king suites are like the hilton garden inn in the area but the room is actually bigger. Small things like light switches we well placed. Still basic in comparison but recommended if you want to crash with some luxury.
