Lovely, relaxing stay!Posted Sep 8, 2013
Pros: The spa and pool were lovely. The room itself was spacious and clean.
Cons: The food was a little bit disappointing for the price we paid.
Location: Good for Blyton Park!
Lovely hotel - had a very relaxing day in the spa while my partner went racing at Blyton Park. Hotel was very clean and tidy, and all the staff I spoke with were extremely helpful and polite. Food was a little pricey for what you got, but over all a very nice stay. The health club and spa facilities were excellent!

I only stayed here for one night but the facilities were very good, the room was big and comfortable. The breakfast on the morning was high quality and the use of pool/sauna etc was a good bonus.

Just what was neededPosted Aug 7, 2013 on Hotels.com
Can't fault the hotel - would be nice if weekday breakfasts were served until a little later - just to give longer for a lie in then swim before breakfast, but we can't always have everything!

NicePosted Jul 29, 2013 on Hotels.com
Easy to find with plenty of free parking. Our receptionist was a bit matter of fact on check in and didn't ask the usual questions such as dinner reservation, newspaper, are you okay with your luggage, this is where everything is, this is how to get to the leisure centre etc....she just took a swipe of my card, passed the room key and pointed us in the right direction. Once we got to the room we had no complaints. It was very well equipped, clean and inviting. We followed the signs to the leisure centre which again was well equipped with a good pool, gym, sauna, steam and Jacuzzi. Evening meal in the restaurant 1857 was fab. Service was good, food was good wine was good and the staff were friendly, however, check your bill as mistakes do happen! After a good nights sleep it was off to the buffet breakfast. Everything was fresh and again the service was good. We had the same receptionist for checkout so therefore the checkout experience was the same as check in. I would say that the only improvement I would suggest is the attitude of one individual....you are the first and last thing a guest experiences and therefore the thing they are most likely to remember.

A very good (and very large for the UK) hotel. Still no black pudding at breakfast though!

Not bad but not a 4* eitherPosted May 20, 2013 on Hotels.com
This hotel is OK and appears to be the best in the area but it's never a 4* and really could with a refresh throughout... it's all a bit 80's. Food was good though.
