“Cannot ask for more from an "airport" hotel”

We wanted a hotel near the airport that could take in 2 adults and 2 children in one room, and Novotel Brighton was the only one that fitted the bill. It is a wee bit further away than Formule1 and Stamford. These two were practically within walking distance from the domestic terminals. But still Novotel isn't that far away. It's located near shops and restaurants, so dinner was easy. And I could see the beach from my balcony. What took the cake for me was the friendly hotel staff. The doorman and the front office were warm and helpful. The room was comfortable and large enough for our family. We couldn't ask for more.

“Very happy”

We selected this hotel for the convenience to the airport and it met that requirement. Even better we enjoyed walking along the beach and all the activity in the surrounding neighborhood.

“Friendly hotel always enjoy staying here”

I like this hotel, the staff are friendly and helpful. Although its getting a little "tired" in places it is still comfortable The Brighton area is nice - handy for the airport and not too bad for CBD Sydney Try to get a higher room facing the sea

“Don't eat there”

The food in the hotel restaurant is very expensive and very bad. Internet access also is expensive and poor quality.

“Seems like this hotel is on a downward slide”

This hotel is conveniently located for Sydney Airport, but since it's supposed to be a beach hotel, that isn't necessarily an advantage (noise and fumes from jets). The beach was across the road, and very small. The room we had turned out to be two rooms with a queen size bed in each room, and not enough other furniture. It was as though someone had removed some of the necessary things and simply forgotten to put them back. So - no bedside tables in one of the rooms, no desk. Only one chair (at all) for anyone to sit on), and one chair on the small balcony. Terrible lighting and the room looked dingy. Tiny bathroom, so if this was, in fact, designed for 4 people, it would have been too small. The staff were OK but no-one offered to show us to our room, or explain how to make the lights work, which would have been useful since we arrived in the dark. Decent pool (apart from the jet fumes) but the coffee maker wasn't working at breakfast, which was a buffet with no other coffee service, and even after pointing it out, no-one came to fix it. Would never stay there again.
