The hotel is very old and needs a complete refurbishment. The room reflected its age and was not worth the $280 paid.

DREADFUL. Faeces on bathroom floor then next room

Pros: Not much
Cons: Cleaners who really clean or HAVE the time to clean and paid properly
Location: Great but was only an overnight and there was a storm
It was dreadful and the manager was a very abrupt person

Much better options, even for an airport hotel

Pros: I had a nice balcony with bay view (fifth floor), but unfortunately, also 1/3 of the view was unattractive view of hotel's roof.
Cons: Overall, hotel gives impression of needing a renovation. Plus, the price was much to high, relative to other hotels where I stayed or were available
Location: There is a restaurant one block away that specializes in chocolate and other deserts - but I actually had a really good open-face steak sandwich there
I selected this place because I wanted a hotel close to the airport and also on/near a beach, to relax before the long trip back to USA. For an airport hotel, it was OK, as a beach location, very disappointing (I much preferred Coogee). Overall, hotel is "dated" (to use the expression often used on TV). There are about a dozen restaurants in the surrounding block, but oddly, these are mostly Greek - even the Thai place seemed to be catering to Greeks, which is rather curious.

Cons: Hotel needs upgrading
Location: Was close to airport.
Prompt check in, friendly staff. However hotel is in need of upgrading. Is very tired.

Tired hotel, carpets and lounge sofas very soiled. wall paper peeling off, bathroom dirty and house keeping forgot to make up suite ! Not up Novotel usual standards, very disappointing.

Pros: Fantastic staff, directly across from beach, lots of restaurants nearby, very clean and good sized room
Cons: Some traffic noise, but didn't impact on ability to sleep. Is a distance from the train station if catching public transport but easy to catch bus
