“Perfect Brisbane Hotel!!!”
If you're planning on a trip to Brisbane, I can highly recommend the Medina Executive Brisbane! Our room had a spectacular view of the Brisbane River, the bridge over the river was beautifully positioned to our left and the skyline to our right. We had a balconey overlooking it all with a suite that included a kitchen and a washer/ dryer. The staff was very helpful and their food was very good. This city is very walkable and the people extremely friendly. If we could have stayed longer we would have!
“Wonderful”
It was nice to have an apartment style large room with all the amenaties of a hotel! The staff was very friendly and informative! Very enjoyable! Nice location right off the Stone bridge and the board walk and walking distance into the Queensland Mall and inner city!
“We returned to this hotel later in our trip!”
This was a great base for our stay in Brisbane. The service was exceptional. The property was clean and quiet. We booked two nights, initially, and returned a week later for an additional night. A+ to the staff.
“Beautiful boutique hotel”
This was a beautiful apartment/hotel. The hotel sits up on a hill overlooking the Brisbane River and the city. The night view from our room was stunning. It is a short walk to either Chinatown or to the river with numerous restaurants. It is rather a longer walk to the center of the city and shopping. The hotel has a modern design and was exceptionally clean. We wish we could have stayed longer.
“Great Place with Great Rates”
We arrived early at our hotel and at first they didn't have a room available but they were going to let us get cleaned up and store our luggage. Fortunately, a room became available and so we were able to check in. The room was very clean and nice. It had a very nice view. The only thing I didn't like was that walking into the bathroom there was a little ledge that you had to step up. If you were not paying attention, you stubbed your toe. We spent the rest of the day sightseeing. Our flight left very early the next morning so we didn't get a chance to use any of the facilities that they had to offer. I would visit this hotel again.
“great location”
next to chinatown and night life, walk everywhere. staff were great, very helpfull, nice views from the pool and tennis court.
“Superb location!”
Front desk service at the Medina was very friendly and helpful. We were given a room with a view of the Story Bridge, and the city view on the other side - quite an impressive sight to see especially at night. The blokes at the front desk even downloaded and printed some interesting sights to see while in the area. The Story Bridge is literally right outside the hotel, with many sights of Brisbane to see from. There is however, no safe deposit desk in the room, which makes it a tedious chore to sign in and out at the reception area every time you need to retrieve your items. Also, the gym has no air conditioning making it unbearable after running on the treadmill . Running on the bridge was a pleasant alternative. Definitely, we would return to this hotel.
“Executive residence in great location”
This hotel is actually an "executive residence" so your room has a fully-equipped kitchen, a small living room area with TV, and a washer/dryer in the bathroom. Very useful! The restaurant is very good, but if you prefer to cook your own meals there is a convenience store nearby. You are also just a few blocks from Chinatown, so there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance.
“Brisbane Hotel Shines Bright in the Moonlight”
see above. and The room was quiet and comfortable. If we were there for longer it would be an evenmore ideal location. That is, if we were there for business and needed to stay for a week or more. As it was, we were only there from about 7pm until 4;30am when we had to return to the airport to drop off our rental car and catch a flight to Cairns. It all worked out well staying there as we found the airport in time (with the help of a taxi that was headed that way and told us to follow him). Would have liked to check out the near by Chinatown restaurants but it was a walk thru a tunnel in a strange town at night. We not only wanted Chinese food, but the restaurants on the Riverwalk were not cheap. A medium size mushroom pizza was $16.00 Australian. Each pint of beer was $9.00. Both tasty. Good hotel.
“Friendly, great views...hard bed”
Has great views! It is also located between the valley and town. Bed was a little hard though and the internet connection is $$$. Staff in restaurant was very courteous and the couple of items I had were quite good and fresh. Staff at the front desk was friendly as well.
