“Will definitely be back!”

We had such a wonderful stay here. Nothing was too much trouble with any of the staff. When we first checked into our room we were concerned it was to close to the road and we'd come here for a much needed break following a year of so many interrupted sleeps to to Christchurch's many earthquakes and aftershocks so asked if we could be moved. No problem...we were in our new top floor room within minutes. The rooms were absolutely gorgeous, the bed very comfortable and plenty of space. The French bakery beside the hotel and the Italian restaurant next to that were both also excellent. James Street market and Cru bar are also worth visiting and only 5 minutes walk away. As mentioned earlier we'll definitely come back here.

“Emporium, Top Notch”

Had a Fantastic 4days Staying at the Emporium, Great Room that is stylishly decorated and outfitted. Staff were fantastic, super helpful and very knowledgable. Nothing was a drama for them. Great Stay Overall, Great Hotel and Staff.

“Way over priced for its location.”

This hotel is new and very well furnished and appointed. The staff are super helpful. But it is way overpriced considering where it is located in relation to the City anbd other amenities. Advertises as being in the City CBD but it is kilometers away, far too far to walk. Only light industrial premises around it, except for a small restuarant courtyard at the front. But I think they over capitalised and now they are trying to catch up by overcharging.
