“A great overall experience in Brisbane”
I booked our room at the 'executive' rate based on reviews by others. The comments led me to believe that the executive lounge might be a complimentary feature for the executive rate, and there were raves about drinks and hors d'oeuvres in the evenings. We had long-day excursions and only visited the lounge our first evening and it was a wonderful experience as noted by others. Also, when we first arrived (early) our room was not yet ready and they invited us to go up to the lounge to wait and we had a light mid-morning snack, with a great view. Very hospitable; great food and beverages. Worth the extra room fee. Also the bed and pillows were very comfortable. Since we do not travel with hair dryer in foreign countries, I had to use theirs and it was huge, too heaving and not ionized, so it took forever to dry my hair. That's the only ding.
“Missed Wake Up Call!!!!!!”
Simply put.....they failed to deliver a wake up call the morning of my flight overseas!!!!! Totally unacceptable!!!!!!!!!!
“Brisbane's Best”
Anyone travelling the Brisbane Australia would not go wrong by staing right in the centre of towm at the Hilton. This hotel is the only hotel that is actually on the Queens Street shopping mall close to all the delights that Brisbane has to offer. No taxis, buses or hire cares. You are right in the middle of town. Just enjoy.
“Generic Business Hotel”
There was nothing wrong with the Hilton Brisbane. Provides all the standard services you would expect of a business class hotel. But there is also absolutely nothing memorable about the property, and no efforts to provide extra comforts that many comparable hotel chains would offer. If it comes down to rate and location, it's totally fine, but don't expect to be amazed.
“Perfect Location!!”
The hotel sits on Queen Street Mall which is the main shopping area of Brisbane. Plenty of stores, restaurants, bars, 2 movie theaters, even a bowling alley are steps away. There is even a food store (Coles) a steps away. The breakfast buffet was delicious but try and get a deal so the buffet is included in the room rate. I think the full buffet was $38.00 (au dollars) per person. The room was clean and quiet. Would definitely stay here again.
“Loved this Hilton!”
You know when you stay at a Hilton, you'll have a decent stay, but we hand an exceptional one! The service was impeccable, the buffet breakfast was enormous and the hotel was very comfortable and in the center of everything. The staff even leaves little treats for you at turn-down and once, when they forgot my treat, they sent up a bowl of chocolate covered strawberries! Next time I'm in Brisbane, I know exactly where I'm staying!
